The over all looks of them are sexy, that is a very clean look. I really a big fan of the MP T-11 wedges, love the tear drop design and the C-Grind that they have on the sole...

Like Matt I think it is pretty clear from the pictures that it appears they have gone away from the C-Grind on the wedges, Might be something like a Y grind from Miura but I can't really tell if the heel has some relief on it on the 58 / 60* or not.

Haven't played any Mizzy wedges since a 52* T Ziod I had way back when..... like the dull Satin look for the no glare look. I personally like RAW wedges myself as they never have any glare at all but these look pretty decent, as long as they're heavy enough you could put what grind you like yourself!

I don't really get that deep slot on the back of a wedge, seems like it would create an inconsistent face with hot and dead areas and would seemingly make the high part of the face completely dead, even worse that most wedges. I've always been a fan of the MP-R series and not much a fan of the MP-Ts, but since switching to Scor wedges I wouldn't switch back. I'd be curious to know what they are trying to accomplish with that big slot. They look good but I'm pretty skeptical of the thought process behind it.

Compression cavity on a wedge?

I'm sure I'd like them in person, but right now I'm not a big fan of 17 extra yards on a wedge ;)

I would need to see where the slot matched up on the face to make either of these statements. From the looks of it and my estimation it appears that the slot is higher then the physical spot that the ball would be struck on good shots. Meaning this slot would do nothing to change the performance of the wedge, it would be completely out of play unless you hit the ball high on the face. If you hit the ball high on the face you have more issues to worry about then what the slot does to the shot.

If I have to guess, that slot sits right where then MP T-11 change directions roughly, it is a way to accent blend the muscle mass part of the blade into the top thin part of the blade --> http://www.mizunousa.com/golf/products/mizuno-mp-t-11-golf-wedge

Oh I know, I was just kidding. I still don't like it though. Then again I don't like a lot of clubs based on their pictures and change my mind after I see them in real life though.

The back looks nice and sleek so I'm a fan there. However that sole looks bigger and devoid of any sort of a grind. I suddenly hope that these are more like blanks that could be customized.

As mentioned, the slot existance seems odd unless it's a way to get more weight lower or some such.

Looks like they're going to a wider sole and getting rid of that aggressive C-grind. Interesting side view with that big slot.

For the T but nothing says they wont still make the R-12.

Likely the slot is moving the center of gravity lower to help launch the ball higher. It would be not different than how a muscleback iron works. Considering Mizuno's history with making some of the greatest irons in the world, I dont see why anyone would question their engineering.

I'll probably add one of these wedges to my bag when they come out and will be interested to see how they play.

I game the T's cause I like the C grind.......it allows me to carry just 3 wedges, PW, AW & SW.....I can adjust the 56* SW or the 50* AW by opening the face and allowing the C grind to stay on the ground.
