Super slow greens, my break glass in case of emergency course bc you can always get out, just know it will be a slow round. 28% fairways but a bit misleading with close misses and rough isn’t too punishing - let it rip then go find it.

Great day on the greens. 4 birdies 7 bogeys and a double for a +5. The shining moment was the bought this morning Scotty Cameron 5.5. An amazing 22 total putts today. If I could have hit more greens as I had lots of wedges into the greens today and struggled, I could have went very low.

Played an excellent round of golf today. 2 birdies, could have probably made 5. 5 bogeys... Just bad scrambling at times. In all, an excellent return to New York golf

After getting my teeth kicked in by some of Virginia’s finest courses, I needed a get right round and the home course didn’t disappoint. 
 

37/38 +4 75

32 putts with 6 lip outs, so the Evnroll ER2 that I recently added to the bag, is going to stay. Throw in a 35 footer for par on 1 and a 40 footer from the fringe for birdie on 10 and I am very pleased with the flat stick today. 

Another aspect of the game that has been a struggle, is off the tee. Enter the G430 Max 10k and those struggles have been largely mitigated. Today I was in the fairway on almost every 4 and 5, which makes this a much more enjoyable game.

If I was playing poker, I'd take my 4 of a kind to start. In golf, 4 scores of 6 is no bueno. I got it started in the right direction with a good bogey on #5, then a few pars. The triple on #9 hurt.

For the front 9, I use Driver, Driver, 3W, Driver, 8i, 4hy, 5W, PW-8i (depending on the wind), Driver on the tee. The front is definitely more challenging and I use most clubs in my bag.

The back 9 was a mix of bogeys and pars for a score that was 7 under the first 9. Forty is a good score by just about any measure.

The back 9 at Baja Country Club is not as technical as the first 9. The westerly wind that blows at a constant 10-15 mph is the primary defense. The olive trees definitely come into play for anything wayward right or left.

Actually struck the ball well off the Tee on the first 12. Then the wheels fell off. Putting was terrible.

The first of three rounds in two days at the Highlands at Fisher Mountain in West Virginia, where a couple buddies and I made a quick weekend trip. Incredibly beautiful course, and I've never played a course like it — the elevation and slopes were absolutely wild to play. Basically no flat shots on the property. 

Zero 3-putts and zero lost balls were my saving grace. 

Went 85-91 on Saturday. Water finds its level.

Played a few rounds here in Jamaica this week.  I love the ball flight in hot/humid weather.  Todays round was much better as I felt like I knew the course a little better, but bent greens proved to be a challenge!! 6 bogies, a double, 10 pars (3 of which were birdies that didn’t drop/lip outs), and a birdie.  16 is a 340 yard par 4 downhill about 15 yards tee to green.  I drove it to 10 yards short of the green, chipped to 6 feet and finally made a birdie putt.  A lot of challenging placement shots needed to get around the course.  Front 9 moves toward the ocean and the back 9 is mostly going back into the hills and canopy.  Caught the back bunker on 7, green slopes away the gorge and natural vegetation area protecting the front of the green….”my caddie says have you ever putted from the bunker?  You should try that here…..” it actually worked, I got it to about 8 feet from the hole putting back up hill and made it!!
