Moecat
That honeycomb weave on the crown - by the way, is that a carbon crown? - could be potentially "dizzying" to look at during set-up.

It's not a carbon crown. Just graphics. And that driver is HUGE. Yuck... I'm still wishing that TM would have release a 460cc version of the 510TP. Maybe that's the Superdeep. That's the driver I'm waiting for to check out. Current bag: Some Callaway, some Cleveland. Down to 2 OEM's!

SPY VIP GolfSpy Dave Posted March 15, 2010 SPY VIP Share Posted March 15, 2010 This is the TP version. Is that one (the TP) out in the states yet? Not this one obviously, but the US TP... SPY VIP GolfSpy Dave Posted March 15, 2010 SPY VIP Share Posted March 15, 2010 The all black look is always welcome in my book, this is definitely something they should release in the US. Do you think that it would sell better than the standard version? Does the consumer looking for a standard burner need two color choices? If this is the TP version for the US then the second color is a great way to tell them apart. That would help the consumer. Two different colors of the same driver would be confusing. PoorGolfer
So when will they release the Superfast TP Black and the Superfast Trio TP and the Superfast MAX and the Superfast Deep Face and the Superfast super Tri TP etc... TM is starting to disgust me. They make one driver then start changing the paint jobs on it and giving it different names with increased prices. And people still buy into that. Funkyfedora
The color is a psychological thing IMHO... Red The most emotionally intense color, red stimulates a faster heartbeat and breathing. It is also the color of love. Red clothing gets noticed and makes the wearer appear heavier. Since it is an extreme color, red clothing might not help people in negotiations or confrontations. Red cars are popular targets for thieves. In decorating, red is usually used as an accent. Decorators say that red furniture should be perfect since it will attract attention. The most romantic color, pink, is more tranquilizing. Sports teams sometimes paint the locker rooms used by opposing teams bright pink so their opponents will lose energy. Blue The color of the sky and the ocean, blue is one of the most popular colors. It causes the opposite reaction as red. Peaceful, tranquil blue causes the body to produce calming chemicals, so it is often used in bedrooms. Blue can also be cold and depressing. Fashion consultants recommend wearing blue to job interviews because it symbolizes loyalty. People are more productive in blue rooms. Studies show weightlifters are able to handle heavier weights in blue gyms. I am not totally sure how discussing the psychology of color feeds into the current discussion of offering a driver with multiple color options. Funkyfedora
Red is an extreme intense color. Guys like this. Blue is tranquil and calm. Girls like this. Therefore TM used these colors to not only separate 2 different models, but to induce emotions. Speaking of color psychology, I have a pink grip on my Byron because pink is a calming color. I like to feel calm over putts. I was trying to point out that the only color choices that were present in that successful line were based upon gender lines. Resetting then: Are multiple color choices necessary for a single model for a single gender of the same level (ie. TP or non-Tp is 1 level) Volvo Intorqueo All the cool kids follow me on twitter: @GolfspyDave If you are not a cool kid, following me on twitter will make you cool... SPY VIP GolfSpy Dave Posted March 16, 2010 SPY VIP Share Posted March 16, 2010 Well, how about the new burner that is being discussed in this thread. Before our miscommunication, the idea was would it confuse the market to have the version of the burner that is on the shelf now and an identical spec black version on the shelf at the same time. No difference other than the colors. Volvo Intorqueo All the cool kids follow me on twitter: @GolfspyDave If you are not a cool kid, following me on twitter will make you cool...
