Eddieblade21 Posted July 16 Posted July 16 Hi Everyone Before I start i want to say sorry in advance if this is not where this post belongs or the not the right place to ask for help. I am a uncertified clubmaker (but plan on being certified soon) , I have all my equipment setup in my garage, from frequency analyzer to a simple spine finder. you get my drift. I've have done lot of of club building that started as a hobby and every friends needs something LOL. Here is my issue I currently own Golf Mechanix Metered Single Roll Tape Dispenser-GM1065 https://www.golfworks.com/golf-mechanix-metered-single-tape-dispenser/p/gm1065/ and my gears broke, so i ordered the cog and gear set https://www.golfworks.com/replacement-cog-gear-for-gm1065/p/gm1065rg/, but they came with no instructions. I replaced the gears, and adjusted the spring very tight but cant seem to work right. it doesn't dispense the right length all the time or doesn't reset all the time. I was hoping someone has had any experience in replacing this gears before. Pretty please help. Quote
cnosil Posted July 16 Posted July 16 There is a question on the gear replacement link asking for instructions and a response that said that Golf Mechanix sent them instructions. Eddieblade21 Posted July 16 Author Posted July 16 Hi, I have reached out to them, they sent me a parts diagram. I do know where the parts go it just seems like that this needs to be installed in the correct gear position in relation with the upper gear and but don't know how much spring tension should be on the unit.
