Popular Post Play18 Posted July 21 Popular Post Posted July 21 Do you tuck or untuck your golf shirt when playing golf, not including golf courses with dress codes? I was always Team Tuck, but I recently tried the untucked style and am starting to like it. I'm in good physical shape, and my wife thinks my athletic/modern-style shirts look better untucked. What do you think? Popular Post chisag Posted July 21 Popular Post Posted July 21 ... Us older golfers grew up in a tucked era. Tee shirts were the exception. I recently had to revise almost my entire shirt wardrobe because the tails are so long, and untucked they looked sloppy. I still wear my shirts tucked when temps are below 90* but during the summer from late May -Sept we don't see temps below 105* and obviously tucked shirts trap body heat. So I bought 30 new shirts with a shorter tail and they look nice untucked. An added bonus is they are athletic cuts and a much better fit in the body as well. Some of my shirts just don't look good because they're too long as well. Coming from the "sleeve just below the elbow" era, it took me a while to find that I could go from a large to a medium in many brands. Now the seam is JUST below the shoulder and the shirts can worn tucked or untucked. alii1959 Posted July 22 Posted July 22 Veteran....very difficult to go untucked...anywhere. Even workout clothes get tucked half the time. My wife is Hawaiian and she is kinda weird about clothes...she hates them, everything has to be loose and easy to wear. Thus, I have loosened up over 40+ years of marriage...sometimes I can go untucked and feel semi-comfortable. However, when I am strapped I am often untucked, but only in very hot weather. I like the trim look. I like looking like I have a waist. However, for those with dunlops' disease the tucked look is a bad one. I have a friend that is a 34" waist (no matter what) and is always tucked...that shirt is strained beyond its elasticity. Not a good look. As far as the course is concerned, my club requires tucking, but I don't care about others and what they wear. bama no 1, Franc38, ZJeb67 and 2 others 5 Quote Cobra LTDx one-length 6-SW Cobra Aerojet 2,3,4,5 Hybrids--85g stiff shafts Cobra F8 10.5* Driver Cleveland CBX 58* Wedge Bettinardi Mercedes-Benz putter Dedicated Walker
