Tuck or Untuck Golf Shirt Playing Golf

I'm 100% team untucked, I'm a pretty heavy guy and I don't like the feel of a tucked shirt. But if my shirt has a super long tail I will give it a sloppy tuck because it just looks too sloppy otherwise

if it’s a fancy course I’ll tuck it in , but besides that I care more about being comfortable.

Depends on shirt length.  If it is too long and looks bad untucked then I tuck it.  Otherwise, I leave it untucked, as it is more comfortable and will come untucked while playing anyway.

I start tucked in, bit it’s usually come untucked by the 3rd hole. I’m just a dirt ball.

I mostly tuck in but it is temperature dependent. If it’s particularly hot and humid I will go untucked in the hopes of getting some airflow. To steal from David Letterman, “Big guys make their own gravy.”

I'm team "Get a tummy tuck!".  I'm fat in all the wrong places and nothing feels particularly comfortable.  But, contrary to my member pic at left, I normally tuck.

I am old and old school.  And, my club has a dress policy that requires you to tuck in your shirt along with other dress code stipulations.  And, I am ok with the club policies.  I play lots of other places beside my own club and see guys with shirts untucked.  I am ok with it if that is how they choose to dress.  Just not for me.

Definitely a fan of the Arnie Style. Bear in mind my favorite men’s fashion style was the Sean Connery, James Bond.

Prefer untucked for the freedom of movement, but it depends on the brand of shirt. Some of mine are a bit too long and look silly if I don’t tuck them in.

My simple answer to this….. depends on the shirt. Long, short, type of fabric etc.

Depends for me personally. Temps can change my mind but as a rule if thumb, if it is a button up style (same as Ricky is showing in the original photos) then it is untucked. If it is a polo shirt then it is tucked. I hate wearing anything that looks sloppy..

I play almost exclusively untucked. I will not however wear anything less than nice slacks or shorts and a polo. I see a lot more T shirts, sweats/joggers, and other more casual gear more and more at our local courses which are not country club level but still it surprises me. I'm wearing polo's to my simulator....lol

I'm in the tucked in camp, with a nice belt. Only one other of our group in tucked everyone else is untucked.

Tucked, because at this stage in my life, it feels weird to play without it tucked in.

It is a weird feeling untucking, but you get used to it.

It depends on the day and whether you have to based on course dress code...most of the time I'm tucked in.  Had a first just a couple weekends ago where the golf cart screen sent out a reminder of the dress code and to tuck in your shirt.

I also wish I could be team tucked, but it just doesn't happen.  I should invest in some shorter golf shorts but they all seem to be made to be tucked.

I used to always tuck my shirt; I liked the look.  However these days I have an insulin pump and wear it around my belly.  I need to have access to it, so I now wear untucked.   No one has said anything negative to me about it.

Not sure why golf evolved away from this style. Sure glad we did,  no way one would survive a south florida golf match in august.

I realize that this is going to be fully "get off my lawn" but I am full-on tuck it in.  It looks sloppy to me to have it untucked (and that goes for the shirts that are "made" to wear untucked). I see untucked shirts, even the "Untuckit" brand, and in the back of my mind I hear, "Tuck in your shirt!"  As I said, "get off my lawn".  I'm embracing it.

And if you're not wearing a form-fitting shirt, you run the risk of getting the club caught up in your shirttail.

I can honestly say I have NEVER worn a form fitting (tight) shirt and I have never got my club caught in my shirt tail! I like my shirts long and my shorts to be cargo, long live untucked!

I also suffer from plumbers crack so the longer the better so that others don't have to be shocked, has always ran in the family.

I always start tucked (with a belt of course) but towards the end of the round somehow end up untucked... 

I think tucked in looks more professional.
