Top end of bag

I know we beat this topic to death but....i purchased a set of used wilson cb irons. I love them but i want to replace 4 iron with hybrid. The loft is 23°. What loft hybrid would fit best for the possible gapping issue in yalls opinion? Thanks!

My complete and total guess would be between 20* and 27*.   Loft is basically meaningless since it is all about how far you hit the actual club.  Just finished testing hybrids for MGS most wanted testing and they all go different distances.

I play the Staff Model Blades and I believe they are similarly lofted to the CB line. I replaced my 4i with a Wilson Staff Utility 24*. I now look forward to pulling my 4i out of the bag.

Yep. Have to find a head design you like, the right shaft for feel and then what loft gets the right launch and spin along with speed for the desired distance.

may even be a longer shaft to help with the distance desired

What do you have in the bag currently at the top end?  What loft and distances?

What are you hitting your 5 iron?

5 iron 185 carrry 7wood 218 carry then 4wood 230. 4 iron is way to close to the 5 in distance plus want the extra height.

Have you thought about something like a 9 wood instead of a hybrid? That will get you far more height than a hybrid will along with spin to hold the greens and might slide into the distance appropriately. But it also depends on if you're wanting something that's also "out of the trees" possible, which FW's are not.

I would imagine the 7w is already about the same loft as your 4 iron but you are getting more distance off of it.  You could do a hybrid that would give you the height when needed and possibly carry in that 200yd range.  Would just have to dry different ones out to figure out exact degree needed.  Maybe a 4 hybrid

9w could also be a good option.
