For those of you who experience all the seasons and aren't fortunate enough to be able to golf year-round, whether that be on a course or a full sim setup, what are you doing in the off-season?

Do you put golf on the back burner and come out next season with a fresh start, are you chipping and putting around your house to fight the itch, or is it something else?

Glad someone asked about this as I was just talking about this to a buddy last night on the course.

This past winter I did a 3 month package thing at GolfTec from Jan. 1st through April 1st. Not lessons, just sim time and was allowed 90 minutes a week. So I'd usually do one 1 hour session, and one half hour session a week to just keep the cobwebs off the swing and since I live in WI, literally to just be able to do something in the winter and keep busy. I really liked it and I plan on doing the same thing this upcoming winter either at GT again, or find somewhere a little closer since it's about a half hour drive on the hwy each way.

As for the end of Sept. or early Oct. when I can't play outside anymore, I put the clubs away and take a much needed break for about 3 months most likely to just get my mind away from anything golf and do something else. Maybe once a month or so I'll find an indoor place but other than that, nothing golf related. Kind of needed after playing so much this past year and last year.

My season stops around the end of November-ish, but sometimes I can sneak out in December, depending on the wild Missouri weather. But typically, from December to March, there is zero golf played. I like the idea of playing 24/7 x 365, but I do think that small break and a reset is probably best.

That GolfTec package sounds like a cool deal. I wish we had a facility closer to us that offered something like that, I'd probably do the same. I feel like I always forget my swing thoughts and when it warms up enough to hit again, I'm a blank slate.

Well this is by our off season - 110 plus heat indexes mean playing way less golf - I try to get 9’s in when possible and hit some balls into my backyard net between the downpours.

Driver: Taylor Made Stealth 2 10.5 Diamana S plus 60  R flex   - 44.25

Fairways:  Ping G410 5, 7, 9 wood  Alta CB red 65 R flex

Hybrid:  Ping G410  26 degree  Alta CB Red 70 R flex

Irons: Ping G430  7-PW, 45, 50 Alta CB black 65 soft R flex

Wedges:  Ping 195 S54, E58

Wedges and irons are - 1/2” and one degree flat

Putter: Sacks Parente Duke 32.5”

Ball: Titleist Pro VI or Callaway Chrome Soft X ls

While not at the same time I was fit for every club in my bag as well as the Pro VI ball. I use the chrome soft x ls on my league course.  It has much softer softer greens than the club that I belong to.

I’m on a mission to shoot my age - lifetime lowest round is 66 and I’m currently 67.

I play year round… depends on the weather.  Some winters we get no snow and might have a frost delay or if it’s not expected to get above freezing, we play.  There have been winters when the course has been closed for a month due to snow.  At my old course we shoveled the greens, changed the course up a little, and played anyway.

My wife and I always head some place warm in Jan-Feb for a couple of weeks to play.  Unfortunately, I’ve been to cold, rainy Florida and two years ago I had to scrape ice off the car windshield to go to the golf course in Scottsdale AZ.  Hoping this winter is better!!

We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”

Mostly travel. We have family in many different countries and i am happy i have time and possibility to visit them often. The comfort pass https://comfortpass.travel/ added a bit of ease to the usual chaos. It’s not a huge change, but enough to make things feel more manageable. I appreciated the extra comfort it provided.

Part of a simulator league during the winter months. League starts in like October and goes for 12 weeks. It’s nice to be able to swing guaranteed at least 1 time a week and then if there is nice days I try to get out on the course.

Been playing for about 2 years in total. Winter breaks and a 6month period when I got sick. Starting to feel like myself again and recently played a “okay” round.
I currently have custom fit Cobra LTDx irons/wedges, a Vokey 60(cause my short game has been the best part of my game, and a Maverick 9 deg. Driver. Driving is the worst part of my game so My 4 iron usually takes alot of the long game abuse.
