DaveP043 Posted August 10 Posted August 10 Each of my 3 aces was a good shot, but none went in on the fly. I did, however, jar a second shot on a par 4 from about 185 yards, uphill, over a tree. We heard it hit the stick from that far away, it didn't even dent the side of the cup. RetiredBoomer Posted August 10 Posted August 10 No. I've never dunked one on the fly. Also, I've never got any one that officially counts, according to Golf Digest, because they were both on a par three course that I loved to play before it closed down. Josh Parker 1 Quote

Tom the Golf Nut Posted August 10 Posted August 10 I came as close as possible. The ball hit right in front of the cups edge, lodged in the ground, and broke the cup. I called the pro shop and a grounds crew guy came out and moved and replaced the cup. He gave me the cup as a souvenir. I have kept it for years now. The closest I have ever been to a hole in one. What a difference an inch would have made. yungkory Posted August 10 Posted August 10 My one and only ace dunked straight into the cup. I couldn't see it because the green was slightly elevated. Lucky for me, we had our other foursome on the green, and play greenies so they waved us on. They told me it just landed directly in the cup. Absurdly lucky, especially because the hole had "covid foam" in it at the time. We could hear the pin being hit from the tee box, but only knew it went in because everyone on the green was shouting. Hacker1996 Posted August 11 Posted August 11 Not mine, but with a friend he jarred one and destroyed the cup and it luckily stayed in. Quote Mixed bag of Callaway, Taylormade, and Titleist. Just trying to keep it in play.

Hook DeLoft Posted August 22 Posted August 22 A couple of days ago, a guy in my group made a hole in one. Unfortunately, it was on a hole where the sunlight was at an angle that made it impossible to see the ball go in the hole. The next time I see him I'll suggest he claim he jarred it. BTW, he is a good player who is 68 years old and had never had an ace. It was great to be there for it. Mosb6384 Posted August 26 Posted August 26 My one and only, so far, from 185 yards hit the front edge on the way in. Worst part about this hole in one was the day it happened...couples tournament night with a full house...what a bar bill that night!! TheBirdieMasterLOL Posted August 27 Posted August 27 I have one that bounced in front of the cup, and hopped straight in. I have however seen one dunked ace. I was like 9 years old, and some guy in the group in front of me made it. He was elderly and couldn't see well, and kept asking "What happened? Did it go in?" We replied "Yes it did!", and he just sprinted up to the green. After the round ended, he was so happy that he bought me a lemonade lol.
