Ice
In mens league wednesday night I had about a 35 yard putt for par. My opponent said that he'd buy me a drink after if I put it in the hole. So I marked the ball, picked it up, walked over and dropped it in the hole. Now he laughed for the rest of the round and did buy me a drink, but is this against the rules to do that? No penalties were given... it just seems like that might be a rule issue even though the ball was marked. RoverRick
You marked your ball, you did not gain any unfair advantage, unless you counted it as holed out. I assume that after the laugh than you remarked your ball and played it out. So why would that be a penalty. Shambles
If I wanted to be picky I would charge Ice with undue delay. The argument would probably consume even more time. Shambles
