Hook DeLoft Posted October 9 Posted October 9 (edited) This is starting to become an addiction. I love watching Hogan, Snead, Palmer, Nicklaus, etc playing back in the day. Just watched one with Sam Snead vs. Bob Goalby at the Philadelphia Country Club. Goalby made every thing he looked at and Snead couldn't buy a putt. It amazes me how good those guys were off the tee and into the green. There was a par 3 on which they both hit 4 wood. Imagine using a tiny persimmon headed club and an extremely spinny ball to try to hit a par 3. And those two were long hitters. I am sure there would have been some tour players at the time who would have hit driver on that hole.
