Deadlydrift Posted October 11 Posted October 11 (edited) I recently purchased a new push cart that doesn't have an attachment point for my range finder. It does have a magnet on the side of the handle bar but, my rangefinder doesn't have a magnet. I'm wondering what others have done to attach their rangefinders. EDIT: I'm trying to avoid leaving it in the compartment. cnosil Posted October 11 Posted October 11 You can get a magnetic strap for your ramgefinder. I just leave mine in a pocket on my bag and pull it out when needed. WaffleHouseTour Posted October 11 Posted October 11 Keep it in the rangefinder case... if your cart over turns (cough, cough) and things spill out it will be protected and won't go anywhere. I just keep the case connected to my bag. slash25rc Posted October 11 Posted October 11 I guess it depends on the push cart. I have a Clicgear so I just throw it in the little mesh compartment on the top, but in your case you could toss it in the hard compartment that opens, you'll have plenty of time when walking to pull it out and don't have to worry about it falling off. I just keep the case connected to my bag. That's my answer too. It's always attached to my bag, I just leave it there. I honestly rarely use it - I pulled it out once today over 9 holes and relied on my watch for pretty much everything else. So I just leave it in it's case hooked to my bag. PrayingForPar Posted October 13 Posted October 13 I also keep it strapped to the outside of my bag on it's case. I lose things way too easily, a fact my wife consistently reminds me of, so if I get out of that habit and keep it somewhere else it will be gone. But I often walk with a half set and no push cart so it keeps it consistent for me. Dropping2 Posted October 13 Posted October 13 (edited) I have a BagBoy and it has a mesh/net area and a bag area under the main compartment. I keep mine in the bag or net for easy access. Without those, the main compartment wouldn't be too bad. It's easy to open. I guess you could strap the case to the frame. Or see if you could strap a metal piece to the frame if your rangefinder has a magnet. Edited October 13 by Dropping2 EasyPutter, Deadlydrift and Rob Person 3 Quote Okish golfer
ParFore74x Posted October 13 Posted October 13 BagBoy Nitron push cart here with the bag area under the push handle. I leave the rangefinder in its case and put it in said bag area for easy access. Rob Person Posted October 13 Posted October 13 My rangefinder case has both a belt loop and a small bungee loop strap on the back. I hooked a small carabiner to either one and clip it it the bag itself. I also have a magnetic strap around the rangefinder. For the belt loop I've used a piece of velcro and wrapped it to the side of the handle. But it always hangs to the bottom, so ditched that idea. My franken-cart has an open pouch I can just slide it into under the handle for quick access. Deadlydrift Posted October 17 Author Posted October 17 Update... I ended up purchasing a variety of Velcro straps with a riveted hole to attach the rangefinder to the handle. I also found this sand/seed bottle to install on the other side. Yesterday I was given a StickIt magnetic velcro loop that I will be attaching to franken-cart for additional magnetic golf options. Also a towel that is magnetic and can attach to a bags rain cover snap Went to their website and saw they have awesome selection of stuff. www.stickitmagneticgear.com Deadlydrift and EasyPutter 2 Quote WITB- Driver -Titleist 910D, 3w- Titleist 910F, 5hy/7hy- Titleist 910H, 6-PW - Stix , 52⁰, 56⁰, 60⁰ - Stix , Putter- AI-ONE DB / Lombardi Tour 34 custom Just an old newbie golfer, trying to learn and improve 1 club at a time.
EasyPutter Posted October 17 Posted October 17 Time was I went packing with anything I might possibly need while on the course. Gave peace of mind which is what I golf for in the first place. In the photo you can see I use D-rings/Carbineers to hang things from the attachment buttons on the side of the push cart handle, mine is a Clicgear 3.5+ and the rangefinder case is clipped onto the carbineer/d-ring where it goes mostly unnoticed. If it were to rain, it would be under the umbrella in the rain shadow. TJ Hall, Rob Person and Deadlydrift 3 Quote Derek Verified Hack, ~25 handicap Golf for exercise and peace of mind.
