I scored on a set of Miura baby tour blades, but two irons need buffed/polished.

any suggestions on how to (or how not to) or any place near Sacramento CA to do the work?

I’ll upload pictures tomorrow

Thanks

What is your reasoning for wanting to do this?

judging by the grooves they might just be dirty.   Maybe get some bar keepers friend and do a little deeper clean and see how they come out.

I’ll try that on the grooves, the bigger question is how to get the top line smoother?

look at second picture.

i am not a metal smith, maybe a buffing wheel??

I don’t see a top line, I see the sole and the picture is blurry  What you are seeing is the effect of playing softer metal forged irons. Bar keeper friend won’t do what you want, it will  just do a high level polish.   If you aren’t going to play them and want to restore to new then yea will need to send them to an iron refinished to get the irons buffed and probably rechromed.  Most places that do this are closing since it is a service not asked for much.   If you are planning on playing them I’d do nothing since those dings won’t impact performance.

Because these irons have a chrome finish to restore them to like new condition they will have to have the shafts pulled, then be stripped, regrooved, hammered on, sanded, buffed, and polished to  remove the dents and then refinished. Swing weighted and reshafted.

It could cost more to do all that then you paid for the whole set.

You could also try to buy individual used irons to replace the ones that are damaged.

If you are committed to bringing these irons back to life www.tigernickgolf.com can tackle projects like this.
