To adjust... or not adjust? ... that is the question!

Something I've began to tinkering with this year is adjusting my driver and woods to find a balance between my swing and ball flight.

Up until this past round, I've managed pretty well with my settings. (Draw biased, 10.5⁰ on driver, draw biased neutral on woods)

The weather is much cooler (by at least 20-25⁰ temp differences) and the wind is more prevalent as well.

Do you adjust your driver and woods lofts depending on the weather to compensate?

How many make adjustments on the course during a round?

I make adjustments, if any, while on the range warming up for the round. Gives me the opportunity to see the results prior to unleashing one right or left and OB. Once on the course I treat it as a regulation round and make no adjustments to the clubs.

I hadn’t touched mine until a few weeks ago.  How the fitter set it up is how I left it.

I did change the old 3 wood TS loft depending on wind conditions back in Maryland, but mostly had it set at 13.5° and only moved it between that at 15°… in all honesty it probably didn’t do much for total distance.  I just had to clear this tree on one particular tee shot with it.  13.5 was perfect with a breeze into me, and the 15 was perfect downwind… and I just answered my own question about the driver lofting up here with the wind.  I’m not carrying 2 drivers though… but holy cow, why not get a mini for the into the wind holes and use the driver downwind… 🤯

Same here. Everything is at what the fitter set for me, I'll mess with tee height or slightly moving the ball forwards or backwards a hair to adjust flight.

I won't change the settings but will change the tee height as well as what clubs are in the bag during windy season. Our windy season just began and I am ready for a 2i instead of the driver depending on the direction of the wind, and 7 wood has become less than optimal in 15-20 mph winds.

It's no secret I have (struggled?) to use the Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke driver tested early this year off the tee with any consistency, combination of swing path, tee height, and my nemesis, consistency issues.  The driver was fitted and tested as a 10.5

Predominantly I tend to get a high trajectory off the tee  but not always.  I have had some awesome screamers not quite planet skimming but up 10 to 15 degrees for a low level flight waaaayyyy down the fairway (for me anyway).  So to try to bring down more of them to remaining closer to the planet, I dropped the hosel settings -1 to make the driver effectively a 9.5

I have been playing it at that setting for the last half of the season and still working with swing and tee height, so I know I have delofted the club face and reduced that influence to the high/shorter ball flights.  Not pulling it out of the bag as self-punishment seeing how the club does exactly what I want it to do when the skies part and blessings are bestowed and the club face finds the ball in its sweet spot with the correct backswing and downswing in play.

That's my $0.02 worth in a $1.98 package. 🏌️‍♂️

Thanks for the replies. I think I'm going to reduce the driver loft, and start at a neutral setting and work from there.

One thing I've learned is that higher doesn't equal longer, even though it seems that way on great shots.  If I can reduce the height, I think I may gain a little extra yardage with the added roll out?

Will be back at the range soon to test it out.

I appreciate everyone's input!
