I found this article on golf gloves interesting. It wasn’t until last year that I really paid much attention to my glove. It was one of the reasons I started using Red Rooster and their glove case. Red Rooster provides a quality glove in cadet sizing which I need. They fit well and perform great! Also I keep the gloves in their plastic within the glove box and they stay new longer.

I have tried and tried to wear a glove, I just can't.

I could play golf every day and learn something new each time.

I think what pays a part in this is also the fact that most people probably don't know how to properly measure their hands so they can get the proper sized & fitting gloves. Most peoples experiences with sizing & wearing gloves is based on either using nitrile disposable gloves, or winter mittens/gloves, and thus they base their feeling on size & how a glove should fit based on that feeling. But on top of this, not every glove can or will fit every hand properly.

For myself, it's hard to find a glove that fits properly due to longer, thicker fingers that requires an XL or XXL glove, but a slightly narrower palm/knuckle width that is typically a L or XL if I am lucky. Due to this, I am left with the decision of do I go with smaller, too tight fitting glove, or a slightly bigger palmed gloved and over-tighten the strap? Most times, I go with the latter so that it fits my fingers better.

I don’t know that I pay attention to it…found the FootJoy WeatherSoft and haven’t switched from it for years.  Only time I notice the glove is when it gets a hole in it.

I do take it off between shots and for chipping/putting.

I will say this, weather has a huge impact on longevity of the gloves.  I ise 3 in 1 round during the hottest months.  I only get 3 or 4 rounds out of them at most, including the 2 different red rooster gloves I've used. I switched to a synthetic palm with neoprene like backing and got 6 rounds out of it plus range times before it was toast.

I use a glove hand plastic attachment to keep them in shape, and also hang them from a velcro tab.

Question: when it is hot as hell do you rotate gloves? In the Texas heat, I use three gloves a round that I rotate

I 100% pay attention to my glove. I use it on every shot except for putting, and the only other equipment that gets used more is the ball. I also go through gloves pretty quickly, but luckily my favorite glove is relatively cheap.

Absolutely!  I have to every 2 holes. The backs of my hands sweat more than my palms do!

Usually it's 3 gloves, rotating them out every 2 holes.

In milder days like yesterday I canopy use 2 gloves, about 3 to 4 holes before swapping.

In the winter months 1 glove will stay useful the entire round

I've found, in my particular case, that if I use a synthetic leather, it stretches too much and becomes ill fitting in a couple of rounds so, I have been using the Stay-Soft by FootJoy for a number of years. I store them in the envelope they come in and it works well for letting them dry and retain their shape.

During the summer heat I, like others have mentioned, rotate three gloves changing them every 3 holes. I usually average about 10-12 rounds before a glove gets retired and relegated to the practice bag.

I recently started wearing a glove full time for full shots.  Been replacing it every 5-6 rounds and rotating the used ones in for range practice.  Has to be an XL because I can’t find a large that leaves enough room for abnormally shaped fingers.  Tried a large and it cuts off circulation.
