I thought Srixon was the ball division of Cleveland. Of course Srixon may be more marketable in Asia than Cleveland.

I talked to a Cleveland rep a few months ago and he said they will keep producing Srixon balls, but they will not be selling Srixon irons or drivers in America. He said they sell a lot better in Europe and Japan. Thats probably why Graeme McDowell uses Srixon irons and not Cleveland. I cant recall any American Tour players playing Srixon anymore (Jim Furyk used to). Of course with the internet you can pretty much get whatever clubs you want.

That would be incorrect. Cleveland is owned by Srixon, which is a HUGE golf company in Japan. Srixon is second only to Bridgestone/Tourstage in Japan.

From what I understand, Srixon doesnt plan to release any more Srixon clubs in America because those clubs would only compete with their Cleveland brand. No sense having to promote 2 brands when you can just promote 1.

Its certainly possible. IMO, if you want to be competitive in the driver market you will need to have an adjustable driver.

You're right, though I really hope that the at least one of the biggies offers a one piece driver..God, I hope so......

I know that Mizuno has made it VERY clear that they have no interest in making an adjustable driver but then again, most people wouldnt say Mizuno is a serious player in the driver market.

You are correct. This is a Japanese market release.

I've wanted to buy a Z-Star driver on the bay for a while now simply to get my hands on a DROMOS for half the price... those shafts are insane!

I picked up a used Z-Star driver at the Edwin Watts for a 100 bucks out the door! I've not had a chance to get it on the course but on the range it is a monster.

Well i finally got out to the course with the driver. Needless to say, not the best day for trying a new one out. Why can't the time on the range carry over to the course? I'll give it a couple of more trys to really get a feel.
