A few years ago we had a forum member review of the Cleveland Frontline putters: To me, the putter I tested was fine, but at the end of the day it didn't stay in my bag. Bossfan Posted October 29 Posted October 29 I have the Cleveland Huntington Beach Soft #11. It was recommended to me by a pro I was taking lessons with. He felt it was one of the best bang for your buck putters on the market. No complaints from me, my putting has been much improved since I started using it. BIG STU Posted October 30 Posted October 30 (edited) The only first hand experience I have is with an old 8802 clone which I have had for like 20 years now. That was made back when Roger Cleveland actually owned the company. Love that old putter On the newer stuff I have not owned one but a friend of mine has a Huntington Beach model. He loves the thing and putts well with it. He actually won it in a Shootout Raffle. He tried it and liked it so much he sold his Scotty Newport Edited October 30 by BIG STU Banana Fingers strikes again Quote Driver ---- Callaway Big Bertha Alpha Speeder 565 R flex- - 7W TM V-Steel UST Pro Force Gold 65R---- Irons 5 thru PW 1980 Macgregor VIP Hogan Apex steel shafts--- SW -- Cleveland 588 56* S-400 Sensicore --- LW Vokey 58* SM5 L grind--- Putter 1997 Scotty Cameron Santa Fe Fluted Bulls Eye shaft--- Bag TM Flex Lite Stand---- Yeah I know only 11 clubs G
Patrick Dawes Posted October 30 Posted October 30 I have used a few of them before I switched over to lab. If you like a solid milled face putter you are not going to find a better one then the Huntington Beach line at that cost point. I picked up a couple when I was experimenting between blade and mallet shapes and honestly wish I kept my Model 11 as it was just a good solid putter. Very good putters for the price. Perform well. Look good and feel really nice. I'm still going to stick with my L.A.B. but would have no issues going to one if I had to. cnosil Posted October 30 Posted October 30 I’ve tried them as part of most wanted testing. They are a solid line of putters and there are numerous models that will enable you to find one that works for your stroke and skill needs. Fundamentally, they are no better or worse than any other putter on the market.
