For a while, it seemed like the Golf Course Scooter was going to be a thing - the kind with the fat tires.

They have less weight than a regular electric or gas golf cart and could reduce round times. I saw that some courses got a few for their fleet and of course, the scooters made sense for those in golf course communities.

I haven't heard or seen anything in a while which made me wonder if they didn't work out for some reason...

Sun and/or rain protection could be an issue.

I can’t see these catching on. People are going to crash them (worse than carts), drop them and screw up the turf. Seems like a terrible idea for most courses to be honest…three beers deep on 16, doing burnouts off the Tee box. 😂

A buddy of mine in Medford OR uses this one regularly. Any new course he plays he has to check first to make sure they allow them though.

I am a member at the same club as Dwayne Bock, longtime caddy for Kevin Kisner and now Sepp Straka, and he had one he kept at the course and it was pretty sweet to see zipping around. Faster than a cart, but I could see how the allure would wear off over-time.

Scooters look like a lot of fun with a side dish of peace & tranquility - I could just see myself enjoying a few holes at sunset.  The fat tires seem safe and I don't need anything faster than a regular golf cart.  They also fit in the garage just like any bicycle.

I've seen some new scooters priced under $2K but without a golf bag attachment.
