It was only a matter of time before some of the more established putter manufacturers jumped on the "Zero Torque Train". I've seen articles comparing the new Odyssey putter with versions already in the market from PXG and LAB, but best I can tell, there has been no performance data provided so far. With LAB adding a couple of potentially "less visually obnoxious" (Read more traditional) mallet style version to their collection next month, now seems like a great time for the MGS team to do what they do best and undertake some testing of their own. Personally, I'd love to see included in the testing, say a couple of the top-performing traditional putters from the MGS 2024 testing as well. That would give some baseline data for guys like me to make a more informed decision on whether to drop some big dosh or not.

Any plans in the works for this sort of endeavor by chance?

comes down to what your personal stroke needs.  Some want/need the torque to get the putter in the right position at impact.    As I have read the corrective torque in these putters is good for players that miss right.

Found this response posted about the mygolfspy’s article where they indicated non “zero torque” putters are obsolete.

based on all the things I have learned about putters,  I think the perspective posted in this article is accurate.
