Travel bag recommendations for international travel

Hello! I currently use a Club Glove soft side bag when I carry my clubs on domestic flights. But I’m wondering if I should get a hard shell case for international travel. Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

I have seen far too many horror stories on social media lately to risk it - I would 100% go with a sturdy hard shell bag if it were my clubs. Think of it as an investment, as a hard shell travel case is not nearly as expensive as replacing your clubs!

I would also wrap everything in bubble wrap, but that's just me.

I have the SKB travel hard case and it is amazing. I have used it many times and have no damage to my clubs. The case has 3 latches with the center latch being locking so the case can not just open on its own.

I prefer a hard case to better protect all the graphite shafts from compression or shock damage (if/when something is dropped on them).

However... The downside is fitting the case into a vehicle at your destination - if traveling internationally and renting a car it may be tough after getting people and their luggage in.

I only use a hard case. I also use luggage straps to help secure the case. My case is about 2 inches longer than my longest club fitting inside a bag, so if my golf bag will fit in a car, my case should as well.
