You would also likely be using bronzer rather than sunscreen.

Hahaha...and refusing to wear a hat for fear of damaging my gelled hair.

One serious note: one day I wore a short sleeve Adidas golf shirt and found that my arms were burned right were the sleeve stopped, but nowhere else. My dad suggested that that area got more sun because of the reflection off of my UV-protection shirt, which made sense to me. Not sure anyone else has had this experience, but I'll be putting extra sunscreen on that part of my arms in the future.

What color shirt? White and I buy it, black or dark color not so much.

No science lesson though, too late...

eucerin or aquaphor same things with different brand names is the best moisturizer ever. I am a RN at Vanderbilt University medical center and wash my hands non stop for 36 hours a week literally and during the winter lets says dry knuckels is the best case scenario usually dry cracked and bleeding but after a doc turned me on to this stuff my hands are ever so soft no cracks or anything dry about em, it is greasy for abotu 5 minutes afterward but one application a day does wonders literally if one person tried this and reported back they be sayign the same thing to

ps about the sunscreen issue alays apply before going outside especially u red heads.

I'm not sure how much sun protection the bucket hat gives, but it's always a fashion statement. I'm a baseball cap or visor guy, but I have taken to popping my collar on the course. I know, I know, I hate people who walk around like this too, but it's completely functional and I hate having a burnt neck. The second I walk off 18 green, it's back to the correct position.

Visors are a bad idea. You can get skin cancer on your scalp too. Just food for thought.

But how many collars are you poppin at once...?

Don't let him fool you. It has nothing to do with function. Matt never stopped turning up his collars since rockin' that little gator in High School. He's a card carrying member of the Breakfast Club.

Light green. That's one bit of science I am familiar with - the black/white light reflection bit. So you don't think a shirt with UV protection changes that equation at all?

I have bought a few new shirts with the UV protection built into them, I will be interested to see how they work out.

The "little gator" is Lacoste, and I've been rocking it since I was 5. And I was definitely in the Breakfast Club, at age 1 and some months. ;)

I didn't buy the shirts for the UV protection, just thought they were nice, but now I'm starting to wonder: does a shirt need UV protection? I can't recall ever being burned, or even tanned, through a shirt of any kind. Thoughts?

Is that Jack Hamm, inventor of the HAMMER!! His bronzer is a little overboard, and he missed a couple of buttons there.

It most assuredly is Jack Hamm. He's missing a few buttons, clearly missed a couple of haircuts...but he can hit a golf ball over a mountain, so what do I know?

Those buttons were not missing, they were blasted off when he swung and then the buttons flew over the mountain too.

Guys...just an FYI, I was at WalMart yesterday and they had all kinds of that Neutrogena(sp?) high dollar sunscreen. They had that specific one mentioned here...as well as many other kinds of that brand.

Did you see that Breakfast Club reunion at the Academy Awards John Hughes tribute? Judd Nelson looked exactly like what I imagined Judd Nelson would look like after all these years...

No, it has his name and a short bio to help him remember who he is. He gets amnesia after every swing of the club, due to the combined trauma of screaming "POW!" and the club head breaking the sound barrier.

Can't say that I did, though I am a big John Hughes fan, as all Chicagoans should be.

He gets a little light headed when he has to climb all of those mountains looking for his ball.
