SPY VIP Tony Covey MGS Posted March 23, 2010 SPY VIP Share Posted March 23, 2010 Depends on what I'm buying. Got my original I-MIX setup from Callawaygolfpreowned. I've gotten a few awesome deals on shafts (both I-MIX and pulls) on the GolfWRX forums (of course most stuff there is X-stiff there because everyone has a 120+ MPH swingspeed...or so they say). 3balls (just over the border in MA) when I want something next day and don't want to pay for next day shipping. Ebay for grips and the occasional club. TGW.com for most everything else (although occasionally I will order from Golfsmith). When we need tools for the workshop, it's Mitchellgolf.com and pretty much nowhere else. MyGolfSpy is only major golf site that refuses advertising from large golf companies. OK Moe, I am off the Golfsmith I remembered a situation with them when I called CS to ask about a PING G2 Tess that they had listed as used. No length listed, not dot color. Three available. Guy couldn't tell me what the specs were because the putters were in the local shops. "Well one is in Michigan..." Didn't order. Now I will also not make the drive to Walnut Creek as I have sort of thought about from time to time... I just went on their wedsite, and their slogan is: "When it comes to golf, we don't have our heads in the sand!" Then I saw their logo and I wanted to stick my head in the sand. Two botched orders and dealing with their "customer service" on the phone. Not some call center in Bangladesh, mind you, but here in good old Austin, TX USA. I think they're clueless about their inventory and don't have a grasp of what it means to deal with clients. I was finally able to get my money back in both cases, but they were teeth-pulling experiences and time lost that I'll never be able to recover. Shame on me if I go back to them. I've always found their customer service in the store to be atrocious, but they've never given me problems on returns. All things being equal, I prefer GG - more knowledgeable, friendly staff.
