I wonder if Orlimar had these specifically made or rebadged an older ball, like what Macgregor did with the old ZURC.

It would make better sense to buy wholesale an older ball, rebadge it, then repackage as a cheaper alternative.

I can see how this could be misread.

So, what I meant was if you could see your way clear to post a comment on their FB page to support a fellow MGS member and perhaps point out to Orlimar that we as a golfing community live in other parts of the world also and would also like the opportunity try their new golf balls.

They'll have no problem sending them all out to Americans, and it will be significantly cheaper for a small company to keep they within the US. I don't think they expect much overseas marketshare so why would they need to market their product over there? I agree they shouldn't shut out half the worlds golfers but from a business standpoint leaving it within the US is the best option.

They are over 1700 likes now! I think we must do a give-a-way also. Anybody have a review for these balls yet? Would love to hear about it soon.

Yeah, I hate to admit it but I agree that it just makes good business sense. It costs them very little to produce the balls (and they probably write that off as advertising expenses). My guess is that they realise the power of forums such as this, and if they can get some good user-reviews from the US then that'll sell plenty more than they actually spend on the campaign. Certainly for us in NZ, I've only physically seen orlimar clubs once, and never Orlimar balls, so even if they did send me the test balls, the chance of me paying the shipping to purchase more from the US is minimal. I guess my point is, unless they actually have distribution contracts in your country it just doesn't make sense.

Just my thoughts.

I got my golf balls today also, and will give it a try out tomorrow. I had to wait until my wife, Lady Jane to get home to open it. It was addressed to Jason, and her name is Jane and mine is Rick. I assumed that someone messed up and meant Jason not Jane, and Jason at least has three of the same letters as Jane. However, when we opened it, it was for Rick.

They look like a good ball.

They really do. They remind me of a cross between a ProV1 and the old Nike Tour Accuracy's. The cover feels super-sticky.

I hope to get a round in with them this week too.

Got mine today in the mail as well. It's supposed to hit 50 in MN on Wed so hoping to get out and play then. Looking forward to the reviews and feedback to come in.

First impressions based on looks and carpet putting are positive for me. Can't wait to see if I get any spin around the green in the cold weather.

Got mine, too -- hope to hit Crystal Lake in Lakeville Wednesday to give 'em a try. They have almost a tacky feel to them - kinda like the Wilson Tour balls...

I played a Wilson FG Tour today so I wll be able to compare these pretty well.

Mine was addressed to Jeremy instead of Jason, so I'd say it's a pretty widespread error.

I hope so, because that old Tour Accuracy is my favorite ball ever; if it plays/feels the same I'll being buying tons of these.

Got mine as well, tooth test says these are closer to a Bridestone RX than a ProV or Callaway, not necessarily a bad thing. Now I have to test these and the Titleist test ball! Hope the weather holds!
