TeI3 Santa Fe refinish

I always say to myself that this will be the last one, every one I do, and yet I keep finding myself not being able to say no to taking them on. Lol.

 

This one didnt appear in bad shape when it arrived. And, it's owner took the liberty of taking it apart (part of the pain in it) before sending it. So part of the hassle was gone. The bluing appeared in good shape, with minor rust spots on it, and the topline was crushed down on the insert. That had to be straightened out, first and foremost, then stripped down and everything buffed out before going off for hot black ox.

 

It came out pretty well, IMO. There are still a few places where you can see some pitting and markings, but to remove them would mean a LOT of metal removal and we never want to do that because it changes the headweight drastically.

 

Awaiting to see if the owner wants me to do paintfill or if he wants to, since he'll be doing the reassembly. But here it is with everything done (except those obviously, he'll be putting the screws back in and applying the elastomer).
