This'll be his first set made of stainless steel (driver is Ti) rather than zinc, so I can reshaft them each year as he grows (Hireko sells kids shafts and grips)

 

No one else who I give presents to likes golf, so that's it

Well I'll probably be GIVING myself some golf stuff, but nobody I buy gifts for is into golf like I am.

The only gift I gave this year was this summer to my dad. I regripped his entire set for his birthday/Father's Day. No one else in the family is much of a golfer, so nothing for Xmas.

 

However, I will be "giving" myself a Dynacraft Avatar Evolution 3-Hybrid clubhead, an Apollo Shadow Steel wood shaft (driver experiment!), and a few Golf Pride New Decade MCC grips. And those are just my pre-Xmas gifts!

I am the only one in the family that plays golf(At least at a level that would want golf gifts for Christmas) so I am not buying any golf gifts for anyone this year. Not even sure what I am getting everyone period.

I got my son his first set of clubs, more of a present for me since he doesn't have the first idea of what they are yet. Getting my father in law a set of clubs since he is retiring soon and I got my nephew a set last year, so now they can play.

I just had a few items shipped to myself. Some True's, a couple of hats, some books, and some accessories for my Clicgear.

 

I also got my wife a Adams 8i as she wants to come to the range with me over the holidays. We also went glove shopping over the weekend (I was inspired by the How to get your wife into Golf article), and my wife now owns a glove more expensive than any glove I have ever owned. It is one of those neon Puma gloves, as she is a big Puma fan.

 

I don't really mind spending some money if there is a odd chance of getting her into the game, although I am pretty sure what the end result will be.

 

The 8 iron I got was only $15 incl shipping, and the glove was roughly $20.

 

Other than that, my brother in law might be getting a golf present, as he is the only in the family who also plays regularly. I know he is struggling with his putting, so trying to find a cheap mat over here in SA to give him.

 

Edit: Also coming over with my other goodies, are two pairs of Kentwool socks. I just have to try these out with my True's. Have heard too many good things, to not try them.

But I had to pay for everything... does that count?

 

Now waiting for the new stuff in February to decide if I keep the Fast12 LS or go for the new Cobra/Nike offerings

Get him a White Hot X-ACT chipper from Odyssey. It's a Rossie putter with 35 or so degrees of loft and grooves molded into the elastomer. It's a sweet chipper.

 

I know he probably doesn't care one bit about conforming or not but 2-way chippers are not conforming.

Two way choppers? Do those have different lofts on each side?

We're Re you supposed to find them? Only one on eBay was like 200 bucks

Two way chippers have a face on both sides, because the companies making them don't have much money, don't want to exclude lefties, and their customers don't care about conforming. The Odyssey chipper can be had at Maple Hill for probably 80 bucks.

Think I'm going to get a driver fitting for my lifelong best bud. We only get to golf maybe one a year due to distances, but we've been best friends since 4th grade and he's still gaming an old Nike Sasquatch that isn't quite right for him, I don't think. May even get him a Talamonti for it!

I'm extending and regripping my dad's clubs for him, I tried to tell him last time that he'd like midsize vs standard grips, and put 1 on for him to test it. Of course, that is now his favorite club, so all midsize this time!

My dad spends most of the year at a golf village in Portugal called Balaia Golf Village. So I bought a Tin Cup with a whale for him to mark the balls. Balaia means whale in portuguese

 

Getting som yellow Srixon or Bridgestone balls for him too. Thinking about buying a Cleveland CG Black driver. And he gets to keep the Odyssey Flip Face #5 he has won three tournaments with since September

I figured out my 56 SW is a low bounce club (it is an old Cleveland CG10, and I didn't realize until this week, that they indicated the bounce with dots). So I was gonna go get a MP-R12 56, but saw these on the shelves for a little extra.
