Check it out New Puma Spikes!

Recommended Posts

Here's the link, I was just about to hit the sheets and seen this email.

http://www.sandbox8.com/2010/03/26/puma-cell-fusion-golf-shoe-review/

If you read through you'll see you can click on two other styles. One is the GTX and the other is the Tipper. Both using the smart quill tech for spikes designed for each foot and what they do for the swing. I've always wondered if there made different if you are a lefty since you would think they would have to be opposite. JAT!

Also if you notice the Newer shoe the Fusion has changeable spikes where as the GTX and Tipper have the original design which is a throw away shoe.

I have the GTX originals that had regular spikes. Then I picked up two pair of the GTX smart quills and they are very comfy. I've always been an Adidas/ Puma guy as a kid and still am today. I really like where Puma is headed and hope they become one of the mainstream golf companies. They've always had quality sneaker and football spikes things like that so it's perfect with the younger golfers and newer styles. I feel they will be a great success in Golf! We'll have to wait n see.....

Awesome looking shoes aren't they. I wanted a pair, ended up ordering footjoys. I'm keen to pick up pair of these for next summer, even the 4 spikes a shoe is better than none I normally wear in the heat. Granted in enough another color.

I have a revolving WITB policy.

I think with Rickie they are well on their way. I'm just trying to decide if any of the Puma stuff is age appropriate for me or if I should stick with Footjoy, etc. I don't want to be one of those guys that look like they are trying too hard to hang onto their youth.

Then again, Rob Hayashida who runs SB8 (whose link you posted) is a local Chicago guy and he's not that much younger than I am. So, maybe I'm ok.

BTW, the nubs on the side for cleaning golf clubs is a REALLY cool idea.

Alas, I do not.

Well, maybe you need to spend less time on here and maybe get that second job to earn more scratch. Then you'll be able to afford some stylish shoes... or least some cleaning products for the shoes you have. :)

Do you normally wear a regular width shoe or a wide? Just curious, that came up in another thread....

Oooh, I like those. For me, though, white shoes won't cut it, black or nothing. Hopefully they'll come out in more colors soon.

Like the look of these a bunch need two things to happen

Wide widths

yellow or black instead of blue...

Agreed. Going black extends the life of a shoe for me three fold. White gets too nasty and then they become an eye sore that I want to get rid of.

Yeah, my current Tour 360's are white (only color I could get them in) and they look like Jamo's - no class in that. :)

I think all the shoes threads have convinced me to break out my 360 LTDs and maybe order some Ecco's. I don't want to break 80 in ratty looking shoes. The 360's can become mudders.

Ha ha ha, very funny. Speaking of which, I'm thinking of getting some 360 LTD's if I can find them in white.

FWIW, I have a pair of these Puma Cell Fusions and I can't recommend them enough. Comfortable, waterproof & with the smart quills they grip like velcro. They're the only golf shoe (other than Ecco) to have a gussetted tongue, which is good to stop cr*p from making its way into the shoe.
