DIY GOLF – “How To Build Your Own Putter Rack!

Recommended Posts

Matt have you thought of getting a planer too? Or do you find that your stock is fairly square?

I have a jointer, and at the moment don't have a real need for a planer. My lumberyard carries very good stock, even the rough cut boards are good. My jointer will also act as a planer up to 6" if I have a piece that really needs it.

Okay Matt you have me inspired. You don't mind my stopping by to use your tools right?

Hahaha. My shop is a disaster right now, and what I need to be doing is building my wife's birthday present. Now is probably not the time for me to be renting out shop time.

Zero info on that particular model. I would say if you're happy with the performance of the battery and tools in that line, then stick with it. As a general rule though, I prefer tools with cords - no worrying about charging, no lackluster performance at the end of the charge. I know cords are a pain, but they're the lesser of two evils in my book.

I agree on the bigger home stuff I go with the cord. But that cordless skill saw has been a great help. Will buy the jigsaw and let you know how it works out.

You can always use another tool right?

Tools are just like golf clubs, you can never have too many, and you always need at least one more.

Thanks. Now we need to get you a rack and enough putters to fill 'er up.

Haha, or I need to accumulate enough putters and leave them all over the house until the wife begs me to get a rack.

I like where your head is at. Don't forget to leave the Saternus Woodworking thread open on the computer so she sees how nice it could look, if the putters weren't thrown about.
