Las Vegas courses

I am heading to Vegas this coming April 10-14th for my 40th birthday for golf and gambling(on and off) the course. What are some nice courses close(15 to 30 mins away) to the strip in Vegas? We are staying at MGM Grand. Golfing 3 of the four days we are there.. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated..Thanks in advance.. Dan

I played Primm Valley when I was out there in the spring. It's maybe 40-45 min away, but it's excellently priced and VERY high quality! I would recommend it!

Check out Red Rock. It's an amazing property. If it's early enough out there and the Bermuda hasn't came back yet it's very cool to play. They overseed everything but the fairways(and greens of course, they are bentgrass there). So you hit bombs that seem to roll forever on the dormant fairways. Very fun to play.

Rio Secco, Desert Pines, Paiute (Wolf Course) all great courses!

I played Rio Secco last April as well. Very nice, but wouldn't necessarily say great. On the same trip, played Cascata. Now that's an experience! A top 100 course (that you can play list). Very pricey and need to stay at a Caeser's casino even to get access. $300 per. But worth it, one of those truly memorable courses. Goes up and down a desert canyon. Premium treatment.
