Future Cobra Driver Model?

I like this one, very traditional shape, nice design, and well placed use of carbon fiber. Too bad they aren't going to use it.

Edit: Now that I look at it, I don't know if that is carbon fiber. Still goo looking though.

Not down with the model name. And if they included that little airplane symbol as an alignment aid on the crown, then REALLY no.

Did anyone else immediately think of Jeff Striker from the Airplane! movie?

"I am serious, and don't call me Shirley."

It seems like it has a lot of Machspeed iron going on there.

You are right about the plane logo, very weird looking.

From just this pic I can't really give it anything other then ....whatever. Can't tell how elongated the head is ,how deep is the face, color and such. If it's traditional in shape I tend to like, but performance would be really KEY to bagging one!

It's Ted Striker! I like the model, I see they are looking towards some aerodynamic ideas and I like the step in that direction for them.

Well, for one thing, hopefully it means that Cobra as a brand is still looking to the future. I don't imagine the execs would be paying designers if they knew they were going to become Puma Golf...

I agree, and I think it's wise that Puma lets them keep going, their drivers have been great these last 3 years!

I doubt Puma made this, it is probably left over from the Acushnet days.

Not only that...but there is a history of them making some really good irons too.

I like the fact that Cobra is starting to get back to traditional shaped drivers. I like the look of this idea but I have to agree with the weird airplane logo. I think Cobra is geting good with their drivers now that they are getting back into the traditional shapes again. My only complaint about cobra is that they makes the shafts in their drivers are far to long and far to whippy.

I've played Cobra my whole life, and I can't see them making a driver called the striker. It just seems to go against what they've been about for the last decade or so. However it does look like a sweet club, if they made an option without the changable shaft/face angle I would absolutely love it
