We have chosen our Community Testers for the RBZ Stage 2 Hybrids and Fairways.

Congrats to:

JGolf

WDGOLF

Mr_Theoo

Rickles

Super Tuna

If you weren't chosen, please don't be discouraged. Another community testing opportunity is right around the corner.

We are looking for 5 MyGolfSpy Community Members to test a TaylorMade RocketBallz Stage 2 Fairway Wood and Hybrid.

700-rbzst2.jpg

Requirements:

  • Must be an active community member
  • Must be able to take and post high-quality photographs, string a few sentences together and follow our community review template
  • Must be a current MyGolfSpy Newsletter Subscriber
  • Must be able to thoroughly test a fairway wood and hybrid (kinda goes without saying, doesn't it?)
  • Sorry...must be a right-handed resident of the USA or Canada
  • Must be able to live up to the standards set by the guys who absolutely killed it with the RocketBladez iron reviews.
  • Access to a launch monitor is helpful but is not an absolute requirement

To Enter Tell Us:

  • Your handicap
  • What fairway wood(s) are in your bag right now
  • What hybrid(s) are in your bag right now

And finally...

You may have noticed that TaylorMade's RocketBallz Stage 2 Marketing Campaign is all about "-IER" as in the Stage 2 product line is RocketBallz-IER than the original Using one word or phrase containing "IER", describe the type of review you will write for our community.

Really basic and boring examples include:

Review-IER

Picture-IER

Even more MyGolfSpy-IER than a MyGolfSpy Review (which I guess is the same as Review-IER).

So I'm guessing we need not apply for this one...

Anyways good luck to those chosen. Testing for MGS is a real honor and quite the experience.

So wrong. There's absolutely no rule against you, Will, or JBones signing up for this one...or even the next one which I'll be posting in the next day or two.

So I am not a huge Taylormade fan, really did not care for the original Rocketballz fairway woods. That said, I love the Rocketbladez irons and bought them.

I promise to be more UNBIASED(IER) with my review!

Handicap in the 12-15 range.

Current 3 wood is TEE XCG 3 15°.

Hybrids are Cobra DWS 18° and TEE XCG 3 21°.

I don't personally have access to a launch monitor but could probably go do some tests in Golf Galaxy no problem.

Fairway woods have been a constant struggle over the past year so I am interested to see if these can solve anything. Will the Stage 2 make high capper like myself more or less hopeless-ier? My review will answer that question...ier.

In the event your UK followers are being included.....

Handicap: 9Fairway: Cleveland FL 17 degree, stock stiff shaftHybrid: TM RBZ tour 21.5 degree, stock stiff shaft, TM R11, Cleveland Halo erm I'm a bit of a ho for hybrids

As an Englishman I can promise a classier, reseverv-ier and completely honest-ier review of TM's latest sticks. oh screw this if I'm destroying my own language lets do it right:

This winter I've been feeling droop-ier, but at the sight of those new TM sticks I'm now feeling bulg-ier just hoping I don't appear slagg-ier than the other club ho's on this forum. If I lived a bit closer I'd be offering kink-ier as a bribe; nasty feeling all I'll be feeling is sulk-ier at the end of this

I feel dirty....ier

Can access launch monitors - ier

Handicap: 6

Fairway: Callaway DET 15 degree Stock Stiff shaft and Adams F11 13.5 degree Aldila VS Proto X.

Hybrids: Adams Pro Black 9031 16 and 20 degree both have Aldila Voodoo stiff shafts. Also have Cobra Baffler T-rail 19 degree with stock GD Tour AD stiff shaft.

I'm making a move from GI clubs to players clubs this year which is why i have 2 fairways and 3 hybrids, well who am i kidding i like to ho clubs also.

Fairway woods are probably one of the stronger parts of my game from the deck or off the tee.

I promise that my review will be MO BAWSIER!

6.4

RBZ 14.5° w/ Grafalloy BiMatrix S flex

Rescue '11 18° with Oban Kiyoshi 100 04 flex

I was also going to go with MBP-ier, but I see that it's taken already :) Plus I don't think anyone could actually be more MBP-ier than the original.

So depending on the timing of club arrival the beginning of my review could be much snow-ier or cold weather-ier than normal leading to more of an AboutGolf Simulator-ier review for the first couple sessions before getting onto the course.

Current 3 wood KZG CHII

Hybrid is Cobra Baffler 20 degree

I am desperately in love with my current arsenal in my bag but I haven't hit any newer golf club than 2006 technology so getting to hit the cutting edge stuff may be an eye opening experience for me. I will be the reviewer that could be blown away by the advances in golf club design. In fact, I just had my first launch monitor session of my life last week. Driver swing speed was exactly 120 mph. Let me find out if the RocketBallz Stage 2 are longier and straightier than my old relics.

New member - first post.

Current handicap 15.1

Current FW - TM R7 TP

Current Hybrid - TM Rescue TP

Would make my review Canadian-IER

Heavily involved in provincial golf - sit on numerous committees and focusing on growing the game at a grass roots level and promoting the game in "golf in school" programs.

Written Sports articles for provincial newspapers - and am as honest as they come.

Best of luck to all that apply.

Handicap: 1.3 index

Current 3 Wood: Taylormade R11 15.5* RIP Red Eyes 80 Xshaft

Current Hybrid: RBZ 19* hybrid Stiff Stock Shaft

I have been caddying at the local country club for 6yrs and have seen all types of equipment. Although I play both Taylormade 3 wood and hybrid currently I am not opposed to any other brand of equipment. I have a great knowledge for the game and one of my strengths to my game is driving the golf ball. My reviews for these will be and super-IER. Also I have an Iphone 5 to take pictures of the clubs so the photos will be picaso-IER

Handicap: 4

Current FW: None

Current Hybrids: Adams 15* XTD SuperHybrid, TM RBZ TP 21.5*

I've never asked, but I bet the guys at Golf MD here would let me use their monitor, especially if they were given credit for it in the review! If I'm selected, I'll figure out a way to make it happen!

I'd be willing to test either a FW or Hybrid, I'd really like to put a low lofted hybrid up against my Adams XTD or could do a nice side by side with the original RBZ TP that I have vs a similar new model. It would be interesting to see if my custom fitting overcomes the BALZIERNESS of the new greatest thing, or if it is already a dustbin relic!

Ping I20 8.5* - Aldila NV 65g S
Adams XTD Super Hybrid 15* - Stock Fubuki S
Adams DHY 21* - Stock Matrix Ozik White Tie S

SCOR 42,46,50,54,58* - SCOR/KBS Genius S
STX Robert Ingman Envision TR 35", Iomic grip
