fsav
T.A.D... MGS tried that back in the beginning of the forums with a "contest" in which people were supposed to send some of the items back to be passed along. Lots of those people were one and done users. Got the stuff and disappeared. That NEVER works. Agreed. while the majority of us want to test the new goodies. The "benefit" of testing is keeping the clubs I wouldn't be opposed to the send back for move reviews option. Problem being not everyone is honest and it should be viewed as a contract but getting it in writting...the legal issues would be a nightmare I presume. with high priced, highly sought after products it is always a damned if you do damned if you don't situaiton. There is a hell of alot of work the talented and valued reviewers put into this and that is greatly compensated with the benefit of keeping the club(s). the opposite to that is when select members who have produced great product reviews get picked and others cry and moan. Again damend if you do damned if you don't. However there is always room to make processes better.
wbealsd
fsav, very good points! Just a quick thought before I leave the house, perhaps a contractual process that allows the readers to vote on the quality of the reviews. If the review is considered to meet the standards expected by the readers of this site, then the reviewer keeps the product. If the review is considered beneath the site's expected quality, the product is returned. Ultimately, this site survives on the quality of it's product and I've purchased a number of products based on what's been reviewed here. Primarily, because I consider the reviews HERE to be of more value to me. I READ a lot of golf blogs but I tend to give more weight to my purchase decisions based on what I read here than I do other sites. ericubrin1
We are looking for 5 MyGolfSpy Community Members to test a TaylorMade RocketBallz Stage 2 Fairway Wood and Hybrid. Requirements: Must be an active community member Must be able to take and post high-quality photographs, string a few sentences together and follow our community review template Must be a current MyGolfSpy Newsletter Subscriber Must be able to thoroughly test a fairway wood and hybrid (kinda goes without saying, doesn't it?) Sorry...must be a right-handed resident of the USA or Canada Must be able to live up to the standards set by the guys who absolutely killed it with the RocketBladez iron reviews. Access to a launch monitor is helpful but is not an absolute requirement To Enter Tell Us: Your handicap What fairway wood(s) are in your bag right now What hybrid(s) are in your bag right now And finally... You may have noticed that TaylorMade's RocketBallz Stage 2 Marketing Campaign is all about "-IER" as in the Stage 2 product line is RocketBallz-IER than the original Using one word or phrase containing "IER", describe the type of review you will write for our community.
