Kor.A.Door
So the new golfsmith store opened in Pineville NC, which is aboy 10 minutes away. Went tOthe grand opening today and the first thing in your face when you walk in the door Is R11s, for 149. I am going to be in big trouble when she gets home. Does anyone want the stock shaft for the r11s, and the stock shaft for the R11. I should put that in the classifieds. JBones
If you noticed in my 'Driver Fitting Experience' thread, it was a couple months from the time that I created the thread and actually buying the driver.................that was waiting on clearance from the wife. Good luck. Follow @GolfspyBones
Kor.A.Door
I forgot to mention that my only instructions before she left for work was "do no buy anything". Oh well, They are supposed to have Nike out there all weekend to do the distance challenge. I took my r11 with the new bimatrix shaft in with me to compare a few, I liked the Callaway extreme fit, hated the X Hot , R1 was alrighth as well as stage 2, Adams stunk, I was hitting my R11 very well, the wind setting was at zero. I remember reading here to make sure to check that, so you don't get false readings. I was averaging around 290, with the longest being 336, I had several over the 300 mark, but I also had some not so good ones, but was still getting 275 to 280, it was great fun,. I didn't mess with the settings on the R1 or stage 2, so I think those numbers could have been a little better, extreme fit felt solid of the face, I also didn't mess with the settings to adjust the ball flight. I will get back soon to really do some tweaking around and see if the new stuff can do much more than I already have. That should be fun, they are just sooooo busy right now, it's hard to get in to the hitting area, and really get time with one of the guys to help with reading the numbers, and get a good idea of what I am actually doing. I see now why spending the extra money to truly get fit could really help, with all of the settings and shafts available, one could get lost trying to find the right one. Kor.A.Door
I have a 9 year old son who saw the club, it was all over then. My punishment wasn't too severe, I had to take my daughter and her 2 friends shopping, well, maybe it was severe now that I think about it. revkev
I would have followed Rookie's advice. I actually am allowed mad money from my skins winnings in league and friday game each summer - I usually have in the pot to jump on something like this - the mad money gets replunished by wedding honorariums - it's a nice arrangement. Lets me keep my clubs regripped/reshafted, purchase something occasionally that's on sale, purchase accesories - fortunately I don't need much in that department because I bought a nice new bag last year, have a dozen and a half balls left over from winning the contest, have a new pair of shoes plus a one year old pair and all those clubs to play around with - along with the possibility of pulling those shafts and putting year old shafts in elsewhere. Good thing - there will be no new purchases with my wife out of work. Taylor Made Stealth 2 10.5 Diamana S plus 60 Aldila R flex - 42.25 inches SMT 4 wood bassara R flex, four wood head, 3 wood shaft Ping G410 7, 9 wood Alta 65 R flex Srixon ZX5 MK II 5-GW - UST recoil Dart 65 R flex India 52,56 (60 pending) UST recoil 75's R flex Evon roll ER 5 32 inches It's our offseason so auditioning candidates - looking for that right mix of low spin long, more spin around the greens - TBD
