Well done! What did you use?

That's actually an open question, I've heard people using nail polish, but is that durable enough?

I used Anitas acrylic paint. I went to the store to find Testors Enamel paint but couldnt find it so I just went with what I saw. Havent hit them yet but if this paint starts to wear it wouldnt take too long to refill them now that I know what I'm doing. Also the Klean-Strip Aircraft Paint Remover came up clutch because using just acetone to take the paint off would take too long. Just put some paint remover and it comes off almost instantly.

Thanks, I'll write that down this time.

Shouldn't you be playing Ping btw? ;)

You did pretty well for the first time. Want a tip so that the paint ends up being even more smooth?

You can either put a drop of alcohol into the area you're filling and immediately put the paint in with the alcohol still wet so that it'll flow into the area, or immediately after doing your color, squirt acetone across it so that you sort of wash the surface. Don't drown it, just a quick burst. Again, this is to thin the paint a bit and allow it to flow more. That'll make them smooth as glass when they dry (the alcohol and acetone both have a short flash time and evaporate quickly).

Just something to consider next time to make the paint run even smoother.

Thanks for the advice. How long do you typically wait from when you paint them til hitting them in case I wanted to touch them up again later this year?

I do all the paint of 1 color then do the acetone wash immediately.

Oh for the paint? Overnight is plenty long enough.

If you want after they dry, brush a little nail hardener (clear) over them and they'll last even longer.

Actually, nail polish will work just as good and cleans up with nail polish remover, a lot of nail polish is acrylic, if you let it dry, then take a paper towel and folding up, you can swipe back and forth over it quickly, and the nail polish remover will only take off what is outside the fill area, you should try the polish sometime. I am sure you could find a plethora of colors around the house. My daughter had some fast dry bright yellow that I used on the bottom of the superman driver, it's in here under fun with one of the drivers superman RBZ. And you're right, paint fill could become a cery addicting hobby.

I have used nail polish before and it works plenty well, and since I have a 12 year old daughter, I have over forty colors to choose from, and the polish remover works quickly and effortlessly to remove the excess.
