Stephen_Peszel
I played every day after I got laid off. Played all over Vancouver area but still missed lots if courses. Mostly play Richmond these days as my current job is not quite so understanding and tend to notice if I am away too many afternoons. I shall have to stop wearing golf gear to work on those days. The golf glove in my back pocket might give it away. I am tempted with the June thing though. Post theft of my clubs and gear, I have all new:In the bags: ClicGear cart bag; Mizuno Carry Bag. Mrs.Manbearpig
Fifth Confession: I owe it all to one guy You know when you're not the best golfer. You also know that people are trying to be nice a lot of the times, when people say your swing looks really good. i appreciate it nonetheless. For several years I've been working with Sean Spottiswood, my CPGA at Riverway GC. He completely transformed my swing in year two, which got me to actually enjoy the sport. MBP can thank him for that, or else we would not be spending a lot of time together. This is probably year 5 since I've been working with him and I gotta say, when your pro tells you, you've got a perfect swing and is worried making an adjustment will cause you to lose it, makes you feel pretty amazing! I really owe it all to Sean, I practice the crap out of what he teaches and it works! My last couple of sessions with Sean he worked on my chip shot and my hybrid shot (couldn't get it up in the air/too low ball flight). Chip shot has improved substantially and hybrid shot is like 75% there (I need more practice). Big thank you to my CPGA Sean. Without him I wouldn't be into this sport past two years. Same here. My wife has played a couple times and is pretty decent. She'd be really good if I could get her to shorten her swing. Last night we were hitting whiffle balls across the back yard to each other and she drilled me right in the nuggets when I wasn't paying attention. Some of you may have been wondering where I've been hiding. I actually reached the "all golfed out" point. Yes, there is such a thing, gentlemen. I have other hobbies too and I started to miss them so I had to go mix things up a little. How does that other saying go..... absence makes the heart grow fonder. The weather has turned a little colder here and it's a sunny day so maybe, just maybe (I know I said no to golfing when I woke up), maybe Dan still wants to go play. Mrs.Manbearpig
9th Confession - Won't be playing the back 9 tonight! The Mr and I held our 3rd Christmas party in our condo, this past Saturday. MBP always worries about inviting too many people to cram into our little home, but as I said to him the last time "it's not a party if there aren't people standing". This year was no different but last year I found I spent too much time in the kitchen and not enough time mingling. So I cut myself off the home cooked stuff at a certain point and compensated with a bottle or two... Or three... Or six... I lost count of my wine intake that night. We had a blast! The next morning I wake up and MBP says with a worried look MBP: "Hey, how's your thumb?" I give him a weird look and say as I look at my hands to try and figure out what he's talking about "Huh?? Why? What's wrong with my....oh. Why is my thumb all scraped and bruised?" MBP: You fell on the stairs. ME: I fell? On what stairs? MBP: The concrete stairs to the gate ME: We went outside? MBP: Yes, when we went to walk Dave and Alessa to visitors parking ME: We went to visitors parking? MBP: Yes. And then we walked Nick up to the gate ME: We walked Nick up to the gate? MBP: Yes. You fell up the stairs. Now falling UP the stairs, THAT takes talent! XD lol ME: lol I fell up the stairs? MBP: Yes, and I grabbed your arm before you landed on your face. ME: huh! What else happened? MBP: Well that was after you fell into the closet door ME: I fell into the closet door? MBP: Yes, I thought you broke it ME: Did I break it? MBP: No ME: Good. .... My thumb hurts but I can move it so I guess it's not broken ...... I'm hungry. I don't recall any of it but my thumb is still bruised and it hurts to press the home button on my iPhone, so I guess hitting the range is out. Oh and btw I apparently get all East Side gangster when I'm super drunk. lol I'll have find the pictures I found the next day. Now back to my glass of vino for the night.... Hey! Don't judge! It numbs the pain of my thumb XD
