When will we be golfing?

Up here in NW Wisconsin/Minneapolis.....This has been one of the longest....coldest....snowiest March's in the history of our area. Yes, I know March only has 31 days but it feels more like 131

 

So just thought it would be fun to see who comes closest to predicting the first course opening of the season.

APRIL 1st!?!? We're still dipping below 0 at night with a solid foot of snow and ice on the ground... Once we get above freezing it will still take probably a couple weeks to burn off enough snow to even see the grass.

I'm going with the 13th. Although I'm not sure what kind of course conditions may await you if it doesn't get warm enough for grounds crews to get some stuff done. On the bright side in the temps you guys get to see, at least the hazards will still be frozen over so no lost balls. Lol

Had to be a little optimistic and go with April 7th since it's my birthday.

 

Also this is the 3rd time this year I've seen 40's at the end of the 10 day forecast and so far it hasn't happened yet. It was -1 when I woke up this morning, really hoping that's the last below zero for at least 7 months!!

Ya...they just guess past 6 days. Usually an average between current temps and average temps. Don't bother looking that far out, it just get you excited only to be let down again. And again. And again....

Sounds like its been a bit of a rough March thus far boys... hopefully that weather stays up there in the Northern hemisphere. We've had the driest summer that I can remember, and I'd like our Autumn and Winter to be reasonably dry as well.

 

Don't get me wrong, I want it to clear up for you guys ... but not if that means it moves down here...

weather.com says we should be in the low 40's (VERY low 40's) by the end of March.

 

If there's no more snow and the warming trend continues -- there's an outside change of golf by....
