Any tips for cleaning the marks that the mat leaves on the sole of clubs

Seconded. When I've had particularly stubborn ones, I just soak the head in hot water for a few minutes. comes right off with a brush.

^^^I agree. I've also heard that if you wet the mat before you start hitting balls, you won't get the marks.

 

I don't know if that's true or not because I haven't done it myself. I use an All Turf Mats mat that you can hit down and through with and it doesn't leave any marks on my clubs.

Wet mats don't leave marks. They have to be decently wet but that should help do the trick. If it's wet enough, it'll clean your clubs while hitting but it has to be pretty soaked like after it rains or something.
