kygolfer1980
Golf is first and foremost my favorite hobby but I also do some other stuff. My buddy and I bought metal detectors this year and we have been made fun of plenty for it. It is kind of a nerdy hobby but I really enjoy it. Been going for a few months and finally found a silver coin last week. It's a 1919 Mercury dime in fantastic condition. Thought I'd show u guys. I also like to hunt and turkey season started today but I'm not going until tomorrow morning. Too much on the plate today with Tiger in contention, chores, tae kwon do for the little guy and such. And I guess if drinking beer is a hobby, u could consider me a fanatic. What do u guys and gals do for fun other than golf? GolfSpy WD
I still like to play the occasional video game and have a weekly Thursday guild wars 2 group with some friends I've known since high school. We actually get together on weekends too and drink beer, but this is a great break during the week. My second favorite hobby after golf though is photography (picture ironically taken with a cell phone cam) This is my pet, a Pentax K-X camera that's a few generations old now, but still works really well. I just picked up the 50mm f1.8 Prime lens and next to it is the stock 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 lens. I took a few classes in high school and watch various YouTube videos that teach things like how to use aperture and zooms for different depths of field. It's pretty amazing how many different ways there are to take a picture of the same thing and produce drastically different results. I'm by no means a great photographer, but I've been getting better at using natural light conditions to my advantage as well as framing the picture. Also, since the resolution is so absurdly high on DLSR cameras, I've been using GIMP (free photoshop) for cropping and enhancing images, with no small help from tips from MBP. Next up on my shopping list is a wide angle lens I can take while hiking! @GolfSpy_WD
