SPY VIP GolfSpy Dave Posted March 31, 2010 SPY VIP Share Posted March 31, 2010 Maybe this information is already out there, but I have always wondered how venues get chosen for the tour. if is is like the madness of olympic venue selection. The other thing that would be cool is a before, during, and after story about how a venue gets ready for an event. IF the hosting of events goes into course design, and etc. I will see Pebble as a spectator this summer, but probably not as a player for a while. I just wonder what changes during the hosting process. Volvo Intorqueo All the cool kids follow me on twitter: @GolfspyDave If you are not a cool kid, following me on twitter will make you cool... JohnBarry
You know me, small independent golf companies and comparing them to the Big OEMs. John Barry Bring the Funk, Back to Golf The Golfer's Trip
Moecat
1. What kinds of golf jobs are in increasing or decreasing demand? 2. With ongoing improvements in fitting technology (accuracy and portability), can we expect a growing market for custom, made-to-order equipment? 3. Beyond rolling back groove technology (and perhaps mandating a "standard" ball to be put in play), what else can we expect from the USGA and R&A in terms of rule changes that affect golf equipment? jamo
Longer Shaft length and how it affects accuracy!!!!!!!!!! A solid pseudo-scientific investigation would be amazing. That adjustable sole wedge, a full write up on that would be awesome, I love that thing. Smaller companies v OEM's
caddyjoe77
From a clubfitting standpoint...the true difference between a High End Shaft and something Mid Line. Perhaps a flex board profile, CPM, how far off are they from the stated CPM, quality control(paint, pre prepping..etc. People Sleep Peacibly in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf. -- George Orwell
BalataMan
Ping's new blade if/whenever it will come out. I heard today that they will be available mid April. And when Ping states that one of their products will be available in the middle of the month, look for that product to be in stores on the 15th (very consistent). If I hear any updates, I will let you know.

Matt Saternus
I'm always interested in infomercial products and products that make informercial-esque claims being put to the test. I've mentioned before that, IMO, infomercials make products look cheesy, but some of them are great: Solus wedges, Adams (started out with the Tight Lies being sold on informercials), etc. I'd like to know which ones are great without waiting for years. NGage
I like stories on small companies that don't have the marketing pockets of the big OEM's. Also, a expose' on the relationship between golf magazines/advertising/product reviews.
