In honor of your efforts, I will no longer mark my ball. In the grand totaling of things, this will help to balance out the universe and make everything equal.

 

After the round, mine are custom tree marked anyway.

 

The mark that birch trees leave is actually pretty neat looking, except for the fact that your ball is shot.

Not true. A little wobble in the ball counters the wobble in my swing.

I use a green marker and connect 3 dots to make a clover and then draw a short stem. The rest of the guys in my group use red, black, and blue markers and had been before I started playing regularly. Green was the only color left, so I went with it and developed using a clover mark.

So how did you come up with your mark?

 

In Highschool we got a sleeve of balls and at first I got the 3s, so I stuck with them as being my favorite numbers in the box. I saw this mark on one of my range balls except it was on top of the name instead of the number. It distracted me and I shrunk the dispersion.

 

 

I always write the number 24 on my ball.

I mark mine with a black "S" but if playing a hole with out of bounds with houses close by I play a ball with no markings - just in case!

Since I switched to Yellow Z Stars, marking my ball seems less critical.

Hey Sac how are you like the Yellow Z Stars? Modesto and Sacramento aren't to far away so your balls probably see a lot of the same conditions that mine do.

I found one on the course and then bought a dozen. I am all over the place with the game these days and the yellow helps me find the ball a ton.

When I hit it well, it is one of the best feeling balls I have played.

I lost 10-15 yards on my drive and some spin when trying the ZStarx versus the ProV1x.

 

That said, I mark my balls with a green shamrock, created by making 3 connecting dots and a small stem from the bottom, just under the right side of the ball's logo.

I guess I'm the only one that doesn't mark my ball... but then again, I have yet to find anyone else playing Top Flights...

 

I did have to tell the guy I was playing that the ball he found was NOT a range ball but mine instead... then I had to explain why the Gamer V2 was better than his ball...

Distance seems OK for me at this point. Once the driver is behaving better, I will take some pairings to the par 5's for some driving range time.

Red line through name and two dots on both sides. that way I can identify it as mine 90% percent of the time without moving it.

I mark mine by hitting cart paths, trees, rain shelters and rocks. Works for me!

I've done it for 10 years now. There is some Irish in my bloodline, and I decided to roll with it(that and blue, black and red were already taken in my normal foursome, so I got green in the 4 marker pack. Started like that, now it's been my mark for a long time). Before that, I used a trident symbol (just an upside down v)

Agreed. When you're on, these balls are amazing! I've been having a great time with them and the CG14 wedges, excellent spin/bite so far. I also enjoy being able to find my ball in the rough easily
