Jballmn 2
Tried the new Penta over the weekend... Was curious as to what others thought about it?
mcbush25 5
I've only had the opportunity to putt with the Penta. So far putting doesn't really feel much different to me than a Pro-V1. Hopefully, if the weather will warm up this weekend I will get to give it the full test.
SPY VIP GolfSpy_X 907 Posted February 25, 2010 SPY VIP Share Posted February 25, 2010 Well Taylormade said they would not send us anything to test until we had a forum...lol. I guess the blog format is not enough for them since they can't control the content. So maybe now we can get some of their balls to hit Quote #TruthDigest

DJNiich 0
The taylormade penta is by far my favorite ball. The way it plays off irons is unlike any other ball. It's an experience you have to have firsthand to like

jamo 18
From what I've heard it is a really good ball. If I like it as much as some of the reviewers than it will likely be my gamer in the 2010 season. Quote Click here to view all of my scores and stats for the 2010 golf season. Richie3Jack 6
I've only putted with it. Much softer than the TP Red. SPY VIP GolfSpy Dave 1,676 Posted March 3, 2010 SPY VIP Share Posted March 3, 2010 Don't know if my 105 swing speed could compress the core enough. Would try them but they are $15ish a sleeve. Maybe they will do some kind of demo sleeve give-a-way like wilson and cally do. DJNiich 0
How is the ballflight? Shortgame? The ball seems to come out low off irons and rise, while still boring off the driver for more distance. It feels like you actually hit something instead of the super soft feel of a Pro-V1. Still just as soft around the greens as other leading balls. Addicted2Golf 9
Ball preference is so subjective. The only way to know if a ball will work for your game is to play it. That is true will all equipment but I think for even more so with balls. There are so many variables at work. With that said, I haven't tried the Penta yet. I'm not sure my game justifies the cost. Thanks, Tim I would like some more data too. The Bridgestone ball fitting at our course was very convincing with the data from the launch monitor. If TM can do the same, I'd try it. I bet Bridgestone will have some Penta's to compare this summer when they make the fitting rounds.
