Tried pretty much every single ball out there, and I believe the Pro V is hands down the best ball out there... Yes, there is little to no difference between a lot of the top balls, but its about what you feel most comfortable with, and after years and years of playing Pro V's, I don't plan on changing anytime soon

Yes, there is little to no difference between a lot of the top balls, but its about what you feel most comfortable with, and after years and years of playing Pro V's, I don't plan on changing anytime soon +1 For me very similar results over the years. Ever since the Pro V1 and the ProV1X has come out it's been the best ball for me as well. I've tried many other balls to see if there may be a better ball for my game but there wasn't. The only ball that I can say came close was last years Srixon Z Star and TM RED, if anything I'd get the leftover TM reds at like 20-25 a dz. and play them if your looking for cheap but great ball. But once again there wasn't anything significant for me to change balls. I'm always willing to give any ball a shot to replace the Pro V1X, it just hasn't happened yet. I will give the TM Penta a fair shot as I like the way it feels, so far I've only chipped it around the house. Don't know how it plays, but the dozen I have will get a serious run through. I like the feel of a softer ball and this ball has that soft cover feel if you know what I mean? Like if you take a Cally iX or a B-Stone B330 and bounce that off a wedge and then you take a prov 1x it's night and day. The V1x has a softer cover feel. that's something I like when it comes to putting and chipping. When it comes to distance I haven't hit anything as consistent. That's just how it's been, but I'm excited about this Penta! HillWilliam
You can almost be certain of that. Looking forward to more actual use feedback on the Penta. I've played the Pro-V as my premium ball for the last few years but replaced it this year with Wilson's new FG Tour ball. First ball I like around the greens as much or more than the Pro-V. It's not the longest ball but not a factor for me as I have plenty of distance. Those seeking similar characteristics with more distance should try the C:25...I'll try the Penta but not at $15 a sleeve.
Nasty Canasta
Just picked up a dozen of these today. When the weather permits I will be hitting them. It has been raining cats and dogs in the Central Ohio area for the past few days and it shows no real signs of letting up. I am anxious to try these out. Correct me if I'm wrong Sandy, but if I kill all the golfers, they're gonna lock me up and throw away the key... - Carl Spackler
scraptax
I have been playing them for several rounds lately and they are excellent balls. Easily as good as Prov1 or other premium spin balls. They are very good in every area of the game. Great spin off wedges, good on distance, easy to work the ball both ways, enough spin off the fairway woods to keep the ball in the air. I play at around 100 mph ball speed and it works well. I think it would be even better at higher swing speeds. It may not be the best ball relative to the price, but it competes well with the premium balls of every company in performance.
JBones
I'm a little sad that no one got that..... I lol'd. I saw Harland Williams' stand up act a few years ago. His stuff isn't that funny, but his delivery makes it hilarious. This ball is pretty good, I've found a few while out playing. dustinclyde
With the new groove rules and the other companies coming out with more spin and more distance versions i feel this penta will get the shaft. It just seems they were one step behind everyone else and will have to come out with a more spin and more distance version of the penta to compete with the other balls

Sort of a reward for playing better. Although the better ball also helps me to play/score better... But I have to loose the three in the same round. I like that rule of three. I am going to adopt that too. Nasty Canasta
I don't like to punish myself too much. I had read somewhere "Why buy expensive clubs (not that my clubs are expensive, but they were not cheap) and use the cheapest balls. It is like buying the most expensive and best hunting gear and using bullets from the dollar store." But now the "cheap" balls are getting better and some are better than the expensive one.
