2009 Burner TP

A buddy of mine just bought a set of 2009 Burner TP irons off ebay and I didnt realize they made those irons Tour Preferred. It says that they were only released in Japan. Im wondering why they were only released in Japan and if the clubs could possibly be fakes.

Yea those are the ones he just got. Looking at that it looks like he got a deal. He was able to get a R9 driver, R9 3 wood, R11 5 wood, and 5-PW for just $300. Of course its all used but still a good deal.

He got a great deal! My Bro got em new in '10 and played em from 2010 thru last year(3 years and he sold em for $350(They were an 8/10 cosmetically). So with your buddy gettin the Super-Tri, 3 FM & the 11 FM, that's a great deal.

 

D. Johnson bagged em for awhile. They're a nice pocket CB iron.

How is the TP model for forgiveness? My buddy is new to the game and I recommended 2009 burners to him because they're forgiving and he could get them at a decent price. He got the decent price but these dont seem like beginner irons.

 

And was DJ bagging these at Whistling Straits? Seems like it woulda been around that time frame.
