FIRST LOOK - Wilson FG Tour M3 Hybrid

The new Wilson M3 prototype irons are starting to surface and now so are the M3 hybrids. Wilson's new club designer Michael Vrska (formerly of Adams Golf) has a lot of new design ideas and you might even notice a slight resemblance with the newest hybrid they are working on.

 

What do you think of what you see so far?

Maybe it's just the angle, but that hosel looks huge!

Interesting to see that they're using the FG name on a hybrid. There will be a driver and fw too. A "players series" of woods.

 

The FG M3 irons look good. There'll be a total of four new irons later this year.

nobody will give it any love because it's a Wilson, but I play a dXi hybrid head in an Oban Devotion and it's the most solid hybrid I've ever hit, including many tour taylormade hybrids and many adams including the a12 proto

I may be in the minority, but it's pretty ugly imo. I didn't really like the Adams Pro A12 either.

I saw the pictures of the irons and I wasn't crazy about them. I'm just glad that they aren't supposed to be replacing the FG Tour V2s. I think they're just supposed to fill in a slot between GI and Players clubs. I can't wait to see what replaces the FG Tour V2s.

 

As for the hybrid, I like it, but don't love it. Maybe I just don't like the yellow. That's never been a W/S color, and it shouldn't be now.
