For me, I'm not sure about these. The AP1 and AP2 designs don't cut it for me. There is too much going on in the back. As for the MB and CB, they appear to have a huge amount of muscle which I'm not sure blade "purists" will like. That doesn't bother me but what does it that stupid line that extends across the back on top of the MB and CB logos. They almost had it with that design but just get rid of that line. I'm only going off the back but I'm sure they will all look fine at address and will perform good which is what matters more.

Hank Haney wrote a book about these clubs and how Titleist introduced them, it was said to be about Tiger but its really about Titleist.

In The Bag
Driver: TaylorMade M2 (2017) w/ Project X T1100 HZRDUS Handcrafted 65x
Strong 3 wood: Taylormade M1 15* w/ ProjectX T1100 HZRDUS handcrafted 75x
3 Hybrid: Adams PRO 18* w/ KBS Tour Hybrid S flex tipped 1/2"
4 Hybrid: Adams PRO 20* (bent to 21*) w/ KBS Tour Hybrid S flex tipped 1/2"
4-AW: TaylorMade P770 w/ Dynamic Gold Tour Issue Black Onyx S400

SW: 56* Scratch Tour Dept(CC grooves) w/ Dynamic Gold Spinner
LW: 60* Scratch Tour Department (CC grooves) w/ Dynamic Gold Spinner
XW: 64* Cally XForged Vintage w/ DG X100 8 iron tiger stepped
Putter: Nike Method Prototype 006 at 34"

Have a ton of back-ups in all categories, but there are always 14 clubs in the bag that differ depending on the course and set-up. Bomb and gouge. Yes, I'm a club gigolo.

Adam does play MB's but just because they send them to him does not mean he will play the AP2's. He can give them a whack and say a sentence about them and earn his pay.

I like them. But I think I like the 712 better, indeed that extra line isn't necessary. No need to get all graphiccy (if that's a word ?) on a classic MB and CB. I wish I had the ability to play a split set, 3 AP1, 4-6 AP2, 7-PW CB

The MB sort of reminds me of Mizuno T4 wedges with the slot cut down the middle interesting to say the least.

IMHO, I think the most beautiful blades are either the 712MB or the Cleveland 588 series. I love the 712MB satin finish, hopefully when the 714 is available in the market, I can get the 712 more cheaply.

Comparing the two generations, 712 and 714, I think 712 has a purer look. I'm not sure what's the story behind that slot under the muscle, to blade lovers it's quite redundant.

Now in my bag:

TM SLDR 10.5 Deg with Matrix Ozik 6Q3 S flex

TM VSteel 15 deg 3 wood

Cleveland Launcher Hybrid 18 deg Diamana Red Board Stiff

Titleist ZB Forged Iron 3-PW DG S200 Steel Shaft

Cleveland CG15 46, 52, 56, 60 Wedges

Scotty Cameron California Del Mar

And the Titleist CB & especially the MB have never & will never be in the same class as the Mizzy & Staff blades. Ain't no way, no how, NEVER!! And before some Titleist groupie starts rippin me, I'm speaking only of the MBs & CBs.

The Mizzy 68s, 69s & the 63s or 64s, along with the Staff 59s & 62s or the Tour V2s are as good as it gets. However, for a ball company, Titleist is not bad, they're just not elite.

I can't say that they are the best out of everything out there, because I haven't tried "everything". I'm sure Callaway, TMaG, Cleveland, Scratch, Score make decent to good products but I haven't hit one or haven't hit one in a long time. To me Titleist was middle of the line, I have tried worse and tried better IMHO.

I liked the feel of the Adams MB2 but it has way to much offset for a blade (has more offset then most Players CB irons). It is sort of my opinion that a person that can deal with a blade also doesn't need a ton of offset really they probably need less most of the time.

Out of what I have tried I think the following sort of stood out to me as being a little better then most:

Miura, Fourteen, Mizuno, W/S FG62, Vega

I most say I hit Fourteen over this past weekend with a DG s300 in it, a little soft of a flex but when flushed they felt freaking amazing, i was really impressed with that product so it got added to my list here since the last time I reviewed blades.

Both the CB and the MB look sweet.

The AP's on the other hand, not really my thing.

Maybe it's due to the photo, but I think the AP2 looks bulkier than it really is.

That sounds about right. I know the mp-54 is due early September so I would guess not much longer after that
