How? Because Peyton has never had a big athletic TE and I've watched that development through camp. They've had good chemistry. I was expecting maybe 10 points though

Good work on the research then! I thought the same thing with Tamme last year (obviously not as physically gifted), but that didn't pan out for me...Didn't really learn my lesson though as I have jumped on Housler, Sudfeld, and Eifert this year...hopefully Manning can continue to spread the love to all the guys and keep his value up.

I play on FanDuel and there were tons of people that started him on there. I'd be very leary though, John Fox has a habit of going back to the original starter after they get healthy, whether the backup has a hot hand or not.

Julius is an athletic freak in the mold of Graham and Gates. I could see him being in the mix all year long. Alot of mouths to feed in Denver but Peyton served up a buffet last night.

Really that was incredible last night - I gobbled up Thomas in two of my leagues but Rookie beat me to the punch here - nice move......

 

I was playing against Welker but given what happened it could have been worse - I'm playing a guy who has the Baltimore D in another league - oops for him. My one league is a two QB league and some lucky stiff has Flacco and Manning as their 2 QB's - already at 74 points for the week.

 

Glad I'm not playing him.

Oh, my running back woes. Thought I didn't have any decent ones. Turns out my team included the 4th and 5th best performances of the weekend. So what happens? The one I started breaks his wrist (Vereen) and the other sat the whole weekend on my bench (joique bell). I would have lost anyway.

I noticed your team didn't look so invincible this week. The scores fluctuate like crazy in this league.

 

Not sure how I feel about IDP though. After doing it two weeks, I can't say I notice any of these players any more during games. There are definitely stars out there, but tackles are never as exciting as TDs.

Going to be a very interesting waivers week! I might be with WD I am not 100% convinced on the added IDP. I am really not trying to be "that guy" but oofta ESPN is something else as well...I don't like the structure of a lot of it and am not seeming to get used to it. Also don't like how they don't project for the IDP. Just seems stupid to offer it and not provide the same minimal support that they give to the offensive side...sorry for the rant but it's probably just because I am about to go 0-2! Haha

How do you project tackles or sacks though? As for the IDP, the scores should be higher for defensive players as it should equal out to a point per tackle. Why it's not, I don't know.

 

And to compound to the injury bug biting my fantasy squad, it's bitten my real team I support too. We lost Kroy Bierman and Bradie Ewing for the season this week

Projecting tackles, sacks, or int really shouldn't be that much different than projecting receptions for a WR or TE or total defensive statistics with total sacks/points/etc...typically you can use past historical games as pretty solid references...4-3 defense week in and week out for a team will show trends for each position. The same offensive data trends and assumptions could easily be applied to the defensive side. Especially since at the end of the day they are only projections.

the reason the IDP players scores might not be as high as they should be is because you only get .5 for assisted tackles and its rather hard to know if a tackle is solo or assisted minus the the open field tackles

An assist doesn't count as a total tackle, counts as a half tackle. 2 assists=1 total tackle. Unless they changed the way statistics are kept again.

Im just glad lynch went beast mode last night. I went to bed losing and pretty sure i was gonna lose and woke up with a 36 point lead. better than a visit from the tooth fairy

I have noted my running back woes, but I do like my receivers/TEs. 130 pts versus 11 for my RBs. Favored SI got 26.5 out of his receivers/TEs and is over 90 pts behind. I guess this is a passing league!

Smackdown talk time. Just reviewed the stats. Best of the 11 others on WR/TE and flex WR was 74 pts, with 3rd at 50. Like my 130 pt pass catchers even more!!!
