Why no Iomic Putter Grips on Tour?

So why are there no pros rocking the Iomic putter grips? I am sure it is an issue of money, but is it more than that?

Are they just too new? I know that Yes! are offering some on their new models.

Anyone know a pro that uses one or the reason why more don't?

I have seen the occasional tour player with the iomics on irons, but watching the Shell today made me realize that there are a lot of boring black grips out there.

Maybe because for the tour pro's a club is more of a tool. They don't care what it looks and feels like as long as work. I mean I don't care what color the handle is on my hammer or what color/texture my skillsaw saw is as long as it does the job.

I have a revolving WITB policy.

Are you saying that this is why pros would play black iomics, or this is why they don't play iomics at all? Personally, I think that regardless of color, Iomics are the best putter grip out there. I'm also not sure I agree with your point about pros not caring what their clubs look like - look at all the custom stamping on putters & irons/wedges, custom headcovers, etc, I think pros like to show off their personality as much as any of us.

Could be true, but some of them would rock some color. My brother works in construction and he makes sure that all of his tools have a ring of green paint on the handles. Simple way to show personality.

Maybe it is just a job to them though... :(

I suspect that it is the usual – Pay for Play baby! Until or unless Iomic can get someone under contract you won't see their grips on tour. If I were them, I'd pursue Poulter, Fowler, and Paula Creamer to get their grips out there…

Maybe that is true too. I do like the feel of them and have met quite a few people who do too. Feel of the grip is as subjective as feel of the putter itself. Totally up to the individual.

Just by probability it seems like someone on tour would play one in a bright color that could be identified...

Probably an issue of pay to play as Dave said.
