SPY VIP The Dansome Posted July 10, 2013 SPY VIP Share Posted July 10, 2013 A few days back Ian Poulter announced on Twitter he was "sacking" his current Odyssey XG No. 7 putter for a new one to debut at the Open Championship. He then invited any and all putter manufactures to send him what they've got. Well low and behold a few days later look what shows up. From the looks of it TaylorMade and Odyssey really want to be in that bag. So what do you guys think? Publicity stunt or just where the internet and social media is taking us? whiskey golf
I think he should've personally contacted different manufacturers rather than just saying "Hey give me whatever you have." Although I will admit that was a smart tactic.

Super Tuna
He's testing a Radius putter too. And it looks like Cobra Puma is going to try their luck on the putter market! I was wondering if they were going to dip their toe in. I know they made a couple prototype anser's for him last year to try out, but didn't seem to make it in play. RookieBlue7
It's a different feel, but feels incredibly smooth(or at least every Damascus putter I've hit has, including their previous one). Maverickping
I have three damascus putters, they feel fantastic. Some friends of mine are the distributors in Canada for Guerin and they sent one over hooked up with a Fuji shaft with his specs for him to tryout, was hoping they got chosen but that is a very nice putter he is playing now.
