Sluggo42
I had back to back chip-in birdies yesterday. Never did that before, probably never do it again. First one with a 60* on a short pin, second one on a 8 iron bump and run to a deep pin. I'll remember those for a while... Both shots were in scramble mode too, trying to recover from a hit tree, and the other from being in jail behind a giant tree. What's your latest cool shot? Psawmiller
The most memorable one for me would be a winding downhill 30' putt for par on a par 3. It was a real momentum saver after a terrible tee shot followed by a horrible chip.

I told the guys I was playing with to watch for me, and they started laughing, they said I didn't stand a chance... Hit a perfect shot over the trees and they started saying great shot... I had no clue since I couldn't see anything... Landed 5 feet from the hole and tapped in for birdie... I was happy... Kor.A.Door
Took a buddy out last year (he is fairly new to the game), second hole, 15ft high fence with 30 foot trees guarding a road with an old abandoned warehouse building on the other side of the street, the bottom half of the building is brick the top half of the building is aluminum, he hits what sounded like a solid tee shot, goes out about 80 yards, and then slices hard right, over the road and smacks into the top part of the building, it sounds like some took 2 aluminum trash can lids and smashed them together, only it was louder than that, now he is just upset because it was a horrible shot, so while he has his head down pissin and moanin we are like watch out here it comes, after hitting the building it bounces off, landing on the road with a loud "click" and then you see the ball bounce over the trees and right back to the middle of the fairway about 100 yards from the tee box, we laughed so hard, eventually he laughed too, but man we were Rollin. silver & black
I actually did make a very cool shot today. It was a dumb shot, but.......... I was 100 or so yards out and behind a tree. In order to get to the green, I had to make a very severe fade..... call it a slice if you want. I opened my stance and took a week grip. I just swung the club and it went 3 ft. on to the green. I was kinda happy with the result, but then, I remembered Apprenti's words........... "hit the shot you know you can hit". I guess I need to learn to heed that advice. I just got lucky. It was not a smart shot.

bogey1300
This past few weeks I have had many note worthy shots. My favorite series was when I was playing at my friends bachelor's party golf tournament. It was a 544 par 5. I hit my drive to about 245 to the hole. I hit my 3 wood and stuck it to 4 feet from the hole and tapped in for eagle. My all time favorite bad shot came during a time when I had bad sha... I can't say it! Had them for 3 three years. Anyway, I "toed" it so bad it when straight at the tee marker, and shot back past me to the corn field and hit my friend who was relieving himself. RookieBlue7
Not so much one good shot as 2 solid ones... With crappy putting. This past Saturday on 18, no one I've ever seen has hit the green in 2. It's a long challenging hole that turns left up hill after the drive. I smoked my drive to center cut. Had 223 uphill left in to the par 5. The other 3 guys were in trouble and there were 4 carry overs on the line plus the hole. I wanted the bonus eagle or birdie on the bets so I decided I was going for it. There are bunkers left and right of the green with a nice run up. Area between them to a very deep green. Pin was up front. I knew I had to hit the 4/21 hybrid well to get there and it had to be on the button. There's a tree short and left that you have to work the ball around. I knew that my normal ball flight with the delofted 4/21 is right to left so I was okay there but I needed to turn it more than usual (it was a 25 yard draw almost hook that has to be played). Rehearsed the impact positions in the waggle and readied myself. I nuked it. I was expecting it to land 10-15 yards short and bounce up on the front. I carried it to the front edge and it stopped near the back of the green. Great, only time I've ever seen anyone hit that green in 2 and I have a 70 or 80 footer for eagle downhill. I hit the putt exactly like I wanted. I tapped it and let the hill and slope carry it. These are new Bermuda greens and they're rolling pretty fast. I didn't pay attention to grain though and I should have. It rolled and rolled and rolled to 12 feet past. And I honestly might have hit it hard enough to go 10 feet on a flat surface. It rolled forever. Lipped out the birdie and tapped in for par. Still won the carry overs but that's it. 2 spectacular shots that i needed in the clutch screwed up by a poor first putt lol. Stoffer
Played in a company golf outing 4-man scramble. I got closest to the pin out of everyone on a par 3, uphill that was playing around 145. I also drove on to the green on a short par 4 with a slight dogleg right. The scorecard said it was 307 so I assume it plays shorter at an angle. The green is guarded by some mounds and trees and is just hidden enough to not see from the tee box. I split the mounds in the small opening and rolled it onto the green while the group in front of us was still putting. I think those were the only two greens I hit the whole day.
