I have to say though, I did feel more calm and 'centred' after reading the description ... and there's no denying that they're different...

Not sold on the standing off the ground feeling. It'd be like playing with the ball below your feet all the time.

 

I would definitely try them if I saw them in a store though. You never know.

Does every pair come with a set of 1/2" shaft extensions?

I was thinking sketchers shape ups but they look the same

I've seen other shoes like these designed to give a workout while walking by changing the muscles that are typically used when walking. I think my wife has a pair. I'm usually pretty open minded about unique shoes, but I don't care for these much at all in any way.

1) I wonder if these will be ruled non-conforming like the original Bionic gloves were.

 

2) These seem to be in stark contrast to the recent trend in golf footwear of getting your feet as close to the ground as possible.

 

3) Studies were done that showed those Skechers-type shoes actually don't give any more of workout or toning than a normal shoe.

A few years back, wasn't there a pair of shoes that were ruled illegal because they were raised on the outside of each foot to sort of cause you to stay on the insides of your feet?
