On a more serious note, I think it's really stupid for them to do this. It's fun to watch and what's the big deal.

That's the way to help generate interest...squelch any form of excitement or fun that's out of the ordinary for the sport. Genius. I never had an interest in trying it until someone took me when I was 40. I may have started playing MUCH sooner had I not thought it was a boring old man's game. The PGA wants to keep that impression of it apparently.

Caddy races are good for a laugh. Doesn't it fit in really well at the 16th hole at waste management? Oddly enough...those drunken fans really don't holler "baba booey" much...or perhaps I hadn't been annoyed by it back then.

 

PGA wants to do something - 125,000 fans at a golf tournament. We'll say 50 are yelling...get rid of them. Keep caddy races.
